I was going to say maybe they just didn't want to let the cat out of the bag until the time is right for maximum shock value, but Brimstone beat me to it.

I'd imagine that Jormugandr (sp) will at least get mentioned.

Theres a huge list that they could go with for hive fleet titles. I like Charybdis, Ouroboros, Fafnir, Jormugunder, and a few others.

Hive Fleet Jormungandr is mentioned in the space marine codex, attacking from the galactic north east I believe, the opposite side from behemoth and kraken. I can't remember the two chapters that have moved to intercept. I also had the idea the other day that in the fluff the tyranids are supposed to be getting bigger/larger assault organisms because of all the ork dna they have assimilated lately.

That tyrant is plastic I bet. IIRC that bran thingie on top is a plastic bit, and the horn is longer.

If he means by the Tyrant, then it looks like a cut-off shot of a warrior with scytals and a devourer. However I can't make out what the purple part is; it seems like some sort of ribbed bit or a carapace that is shaped more like a Ravener than a warrior. It MAY be a sneaky, sneaky not quite a reveal yet there it is new Ravener picture.

I guess it could just be a really *F*ed up angle of a Hive Tyrant.
Maybe it's just me.

I see a lash whip, and some sort of a blade-like thing on top of the head.

I can't see the facial structure of a HT, though, and it looks THIN to me.

Maybe it's the low-res picture.

If that Hive Tyrant is plastic then it's a near perfect recreation of the metal Tyrant, showing that a) GW plastic technology really is bridging the gap in huge leaps and bounds and b) that GW is toying with us by showing a new kit without anything telling us it IS a new kit.

Is that Njal Stormcaller next to the Hive Tyrant? I know what happens next. He casts Jaws of the Nid Killer and eats the Tyrant, plus every other model behind him in one turn. The Tyranids have now lost synapse and all of the gaunts go into a suicidal frenzy and murder each other to the bemusement of the Space Wolves.

Realistically hive tyrants have a one in six chance of failing that test.

Well that depends if its nids turn hive tyrant might be able to assault and avoid being psychically hurt(by the shadow of the warp really doesn't do that much).
