Honestly I can't think of much for you to face the monolith but here's a few things you should know.

The Monolith gets D6 shots on every unit within 12" of the Monolith. This can be mitigated by spreading your army out, although thats usually a poor tactical choice.

The Monolith can be used to teleport warriors in and rapid fire.

You don't get any extra D6 dice for armor pen for example melta guns within half range don't get 2 D6. However it would still get +1 for being AP1.

It can sometimes be a more tactical choice to ignore the monoliths and go for objectives or phase out. However don't expect the Monolith to do nothing if you choose not to target it, it will always cause damage.

Ironclads or Assault Termies, or hope for a phase out and go after the weaker parts of the army.

Assault terms aren't good for monos, glance on 6+ and automatically shaken and stunned. not super

Ironclads with Seismic hammers are, 4 attacks, 4s to glance 5-6 pen, +1 on damage table = trip to the scrap yard. totally Super

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

Yea, my Monolith has been in every game that I have played in recent times and it has only died once.
That one time was due to a very large Ork Nob squad with a warboss that my Monolith scattered near.

Unless you want bragging rights, just stick to the phase out. It's really easy to do if you assault warriors, win combat and chase them down.

It really is aptly called the toughest armor in the game for a reason. Those things are super hardcore.

As for the guy that assaulted it with a Boss and Nobz... why?!!!??! Orks have a tough time taking out Landraiders, and those are a joke compared to a monolith.
Mostly, Ill say it again, phase out. End of story

Well most of the Orks including the Warboss had powerklaws who's S10 hits made short work of my Monolith.
But agreed, phase out is the best way to deal with the Mono.
