Runnin up on ya.

Someone already took the Tau idea and ran with it. haha

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

The design of this amusing, fictional tank is by Hayao Miyazaki, the famed director of such splendid animated films as My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. Despite his image as a creator of family-fare featuring young heroines, he's actually quite a military nut. Bad Guy #1 had been released as a completed model, and now those of us who want to build it, can do so with this terrific release! Bego does some superb work here, including texturing and rivet detail. Three little piggy tank crew members are included (one of them's an officer!), to populate a diorama! Tracks are rubber belts with injection plastic spikes for traction. Polycaps for moveable parts are included, too (the finished model looks like a lot of fun!). The main part of the upper hull, molded in a single piece, measures about 17.5 cm long. Have fun -- and go crazy on the paint scheme!!

I thought as a 1/72 scale kit it might be a bit small for 40K but it's quite a large vehicle. A Land Raider is 17cm long.

I don't think it looks like a Tau vehicle, more like Imperial.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

Do you think the treads are one-piece rubber, or plastic pieces like a land raider? It looks like the former to me, something I'd like to see changed.

Still fulla' win though.

According to the linky, the track is a one piece band that you glue the individual tread teeth to.

With suitable weathering etc it will look fine.

Is it still a limited edition thing? Do I need to order now?

Probably not limited edition but you never know how many HLJ will buy in. I'm pretty sure they've been hurting thanks to the high value of the Yen, so they don't want to build a big stock of stuff they will have trouble to sell.

In short, if you are very keen, order one now, unless you figure you could get someone in Japan to send you one later on. We have a couple of Japan based members.

Now to me, it looks more Tau (if they used treads that is) Pretty cool looking tank tho for sure. If I used it, Id slice the treads off the bottom tho, so it actually LOOKED like it was on the ground

Looks like how I'd always pictured one of Keith Laumer's BOLO's would look... except obviously a lot smaller!

Very nice.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Sorry Fellblade, I think "Bad Guy no.1" definitely out-Tau's the flying chopper-thingy.

Very nice Matrix model, tho....

Hey KK, I might regret asking this... but have you decided what you're going to do with all the pigs?
