Actually, I like it very much, but tricky to show off the game as you need to set it
up to give players a good feel for it. I was trying to amass my own collection of
urban terrain for a while, but got tired of it. Paper buildings don't really do it
for me, either.

I'll see if I can get back into building up a collection of urban terrain in 2010. Should
entertain me for a few minutes at least.

How well will a standard printer work on really thin plastic card for that printable terrain?

As for the Models All look sharp. I am Nomad my self so those ALEPH Robo-enslavers are only good for targets, in Infinity. I can see some uses for them in other games though.

Very interesting, if there were anyone else to play this with locally I'd never touch another GW figure again. Very nice mini's. I hope the rules are as tight as the minis?

@ Achilles

How do you mean different? Although, I would say, judging by their website, the amount of interaction with "fans" etc, it seems Corvus belli are really not your typical gaming company.

I think the models are utterly amazing I only have two concerns if you will. One the price seems step for U.S currency with the amount of models you get and 2 anyone in NE play this?

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

That's why even Corvus Belli will tell you to buy from The Warstore or another US retailer, unless you really really want to order straight from them.
Neil has the starter boxes for $38.99, and you don't really need a rulebook if you print off the PDF rules and get them bound(or really want a physical book. I'd suggest the rulebook either way because it has some pretty nice artwork, which I'm unaware if the PDF has it or not).

The starter boxes can pretty much be used, in conjunction with maybe a blister or two to start doing small games right off the bat.

I'm not sure if this is a rhetorical question? Are you seriously expecting an answer here? Why not check out the Infinity website and enquire on there: www.infinitythegame.com

Or alternatively, go to the "Arrange a games" section on this forum and see who bites.

Lastly, why not set up your own gaming group, maybe try to recruit some players from your local independant gaming store.....just a few ideas that might help.

@ Delephont: Privateer makes a medium sized Battle Game; Corvus Belli makes super-high quality figures for a small scale skirmish game. CB also seems more interested in making a game to support their models, as opposed to PP who seem to be making models to support their game.

Not putting any value judgement on that... they're just appealing to different audiences methinks.

@ Alpharius and Luna: I'll send you guys a copy of the Guidebook to Civil Disobedience along with my Human Sphere Review!

Corvus is also supporting a game with models. Why else would they make dozens of
options in the rule book that people await the models for?

I'd go with filling out the range.

But I'm hassling them to see when we'll get plastic kits to start working from, if ever.

Multipart Line Kazaks? Oh dear God, those would sell like hotcakes methinks.

As much as I'd like to see that too, I don't think we'll see plastics for INFINITY for a long, long time, if ever.

I think same as Alpharius here. A multipart kit with that quality would be great. Even better, because being plastic easier to convert than metal, the number of silly posses would decrease a lot But Corvus Belli has been producing metal minis for 15mm historical and 28mm fantasy for a reasonably long time, and they have never used plastic, AFAIK. So I don't think they are very interested on it.

Boxes like Ariadna's 45th Highlander Rifles with 4 minis and some options are enough atm for me.
