Using heavily converted, clearly cavalry mechanized dred-like models is a really cool idea.

Plopping down 6 of the new dred kit out of the box and calling them TWC sounds like an abomination that makes the 'bike' proxies sound reasonable.

The new thing I have seen is people trying to use the new Kans models as Mega armor nobz... that is a bit of too muchery for me.

I was actually wondering if it would be possible to de-ork the killa kans and use them as a basis for my conversion.

I have actually seen some people planning to make some Cyboars out of the Kanz, and I think those 'leg' legs on the new kans would work well for a mechanical steed.

I think anything that really comes off as 'tough' and 'steed' and 'bitey' will make a huge difference from things that look 'walky' or 'bikey'.

People really like conversions and I could see that being a good base for a really nice 'counts as'. The end result probably will not look anything liek a kan or even be able to be confused for anything else.

RULE OF COOL: When converting models, there is only one rule: "The better your model looks, the less people will complain about it."

MODELING FOR ADVANTAGE TEST: rigeld2: "Easy test - are you willing to play the model as a stock one? No? MFA."

Yeah... I'm going for something in between TDA and Dreads... like the extended "power armor" you see current militaries trying to develop. Extends the legs and arms to allow them to run faster, hit harder, carry more, etc.
