The idea is good, but I would agree that it would look better with tracks, and the toy parts need some work (panel lines and rivets) to help them blend in with the 40K parts.

Personally i love it, the only thing would be that it would look out of place if you used all rhinos etc. But i DO like the smooth look to it, and the guns, can't forget all those big guns.

It does not at all convey imperial and it is grossly out of scale, stick art works of the leviathans and such for those truly are "Imperial Mobile Fire Bases".

I know what you mean with the "goth" type of design to the normal GW tanks. I guess i meant more towards the Land Raider look for SM , and Elysians for IG

I think what it needs is more rivets/plating... it looks a tad to clean in some places.. But I still think it looks awesome.

I agree that wheel covers and generally more rivets and less toy bitz could help this model, I like the concept though.

Note to self: Buy a massive GI:Joe toy and do a conversion like this

It's probably polythene plastic which styrene cements won't work on

Superglue or 2 part epoxy might be better

TBH it isn't working at the moment imho for reasons stated above- but it could be made to

seems to me to be to much disjunction between the toylike aspect of the buggy and the model parts. The details of the former look out of scale and style with the 40K parts.
bit of modelling will change all that
would try and get rid of the wheel arches
take your time and plan what you think would work
any good with photoshop? play with some images first

that comes down to experience and confidence mate
I am as hamfisted a bodger of plastic as you could wish to find.

it is a matter of learning techniques - what materials and tools work for you. The only way to do that is just to do it.

If I can chop up plastic and stick it together again am sure you can learn to do same
It is a good idea for sure

Holy hell, that looks sweet.

As others have mentioned, the wheels don't look Imperial-y enough, that's about my only problem with it, but many people have provided better advice then i can.

It does look bad ass though, that's for sure.
