Somewere I have the old Bager Highlanders and some of the Otterman Empier Minis from a long time ago.
The Bagers are only 15mm though.

The minis look pretty nice, and there's a lot of room for creativity here. I was really into Redwall as a kid, so to see something similar in miniatures form is kind of cool.

That said, my interest in Redwall-type things has sort of waned with age, and I'm not sure if I'd actually get into a game like this. Maybe a miniature or two just to paint, but probably not an army. I'll be interested to see how the rules work though.

Is this going to be an army level game like Warhammer, or more of a skirmish game?

Sorry, Kitsune are not in game. Only real japanese animals like Otters, Tanuki, Foxes, and Rabbits are in the japanese faction.

I am liking the sound of the Japanese faction

Kitsune ARE Foxes.

Kitsune are nine tailed fox gods or a Pokémon.

Brushfire Foxes will have only one tail.

Actually, linguistically, there is no difference in Japanese. My post was a joke on this fact.

Also, not all mythical Kitsune have 9 tails. The most common number of tails in folklore is 1, 5, 7 and, yes, 9.
