Rin is the same scale as Candy here.

We're a touch taller and more slender, but work a-okay with appropriate paint and basing. Especially as a character model who you generally want to have stand a bit apart anyway.

Edit: And, on topic, that mini actually looks really good. Nice sculpt.

The boobs on the model actually look better scale wise than the concept art. Another very nice sculpt.

Awesome sauce!
I was thinking of buying her as well. I love the idea of the story but that might just be because i am addicted to caffine
How much is this model and how much would p&p to the UK cost?

Rin and Candy are both $12.95 (USD). Shipping to the UK is $5.95 flat rate regardless of how many (or what) models you purchase.

Rin will be available for order and shipping next week.

Nah, I just check their site pretty often, and thus usually end up alerting dakka to updates. My strategy is to keep it up until they give me something cool for ceaselessly promoting them

Good strategy!
But all these model are characters. No problem with that though.
If your privy to insider knowledge could you say if they will be some kind of troop or what ever. Or are the rules/future realeses gearing towards all characters?

No insider knowledge, I just read the threads. That said, I'm completely certain they'll continue to produce characters. Soda Pop are great because their models are so unique - there are other companies that do squads of plastic troops

As a miniature goes , its great.
But its just the original art is so geniusly drawn , its hard to convey that into 3D.

agreed, the art work is so much more dynamic and such than the model

good model anyway, too bad i dont have any reasons to own one unless its gw scale

Awe...I feel sad nobody has commented on the video link I posted earlier. It's so very appropriate to Soda Pop mini style

The boobs don't look as ridiculous on the model as they do in the concept art which is great since the rest of it looks really cool.

the new proportions work a lot better.

Looking forward to see a painted model. Curious how the eyes will come out.

The boobs on the actual model are ok, the concept art was oot. Very good transition from art to model, very nice job! But those manga-styled models ain't my cup of tea, so no shiney €uros from germany...

Keep up the good work, though!

I'm a little undecided on this one... It's a nice mini, and the boobs are indeed much more reasonable on the mini than the concept art (still over-the-top, but not ridiculously so, so in a good way)... but as others have pointed out, something of the sense of motion has been lost from the mini.

I think it largely boils down to the slightly different angle on the rifle, and the head and neck sitting further forward... instead of the mid-motion gesture, she sort of looks like she's struggling a little to stand under the weight of the rifle.

Some of the may just be down to the angle of the pic. Pose aside, it's a gorgeous sculpt.

Not bad, not bad at all.

Any game info on these soda girls yet?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

What is that model on the far right? I want a couple of those for my female IG.

Thank you, I need a couple more stand-ins for autocannons and that looks to fit the bill quite nicely.

Just a comment, Infinity models are designed in more realistic proportions than GW minis. I don't know how you are building an entire female IG army, but if your minis are based for example in Cadians, this might look like a bit different.

Nope, no Cadian types. All old RT-era female models, the Last Chancer females, Catchan Grenade Launcher (modified into various special weapons) or Eschers. That Infinity model looks like it will fit in quite well. May just have to pick up a couple soda pop girls as well, use them as officers or snipers.
