Did Fulgrim Just Behead Ferrus?

What about instead of sculpting each set of legs, you simply sculpt one set and then cast them, all you need to do then in connect them to the Chaos Warrior legs.
An even easier method might be this as done by PsychosisPC over at B&C.

You can cast small parts at home, it's not that hard actually. It's only when you start mass producing it that you will need some sort of factory, but even then it could be done from your home. Check the link for Troll Forged Miniatures in my sig for example, the guy running that show is casting and selling miniatures from his basement.
A factory is no longer needed to produce miniatures, one might even wonder if a factory was ever even needed in the first place.

Most indie casters or those who simply provide such services wouldn't cast materials produced by other companies. So casting stuff that you yourself have sculpted or you yourself casting existing bits for personal use shouldn't be a problem, however as soon as somebody will start producing GW bits for others they will most probably receive a visit from GW's IP lawyers...

the casting thing is a great idea, however being a U.S. Marine, my personal space and time are precious commodities, thus I do what I can when I can.

If you sculpt the parts yourself you could ask somebody else to cast them for you maybe.

true but once again, too much hassel, besides I slightly modded most of the regular CSM legs with plasticard and I'm pleased with the result, I'll post a few later this evening.

thanks brother, I have to wait for further painting as I've run out of tin bitz and our FLGS doesn't open up until the 17th (cursed owner went of vacation, in the 41st millenium there is no vacation!)

Those are some of the nicer Iron Fists that I have seen. The Oblits are something else, seems cheaper and much more well done than the GW ones. Great work, and can't wait to see what comes up next!
