Overall its pretty much a dead heat

Every primarch excelled at something that the others didn't but had weakness's too these kind of even themselves out .. eg

Russ -- fierce fighter with a strong sense of honour but a lousy temper ,

Angron -- berserker in combat but again all rage no control -- his bodyguard has to defend his back as he only see's the enemy to the front ...

etc etc etc

Angron V. Sanguinius I don't know the winner, Sanguinius has wings but I feel Angron is the better fighter having grown up a gladiator.

I don't feel horus was that much of a combat master without the 4 chaos gods backing him up, he was more a tacticians. (COMPARED to the other primarch, compared to humans he's a walking death god)

I think if they all fought each other WITHOUT Chaos helping them......

I like to think that discussions like this caused the Horus Heresy.

"Hey Space Puppy, hows Lemon Dogshagger doing in his new kennel?"
"Shut up Shortbus, at least my Primarch isn't a ginger"

And then this happened with pretty much everyone else at the same time and BAM.
Horus Heresy.
All that stuff about Horus being corrupted after being wounded in battle is obviously Imperial Propaganda released to make the Spess Mehrens look less stupid.

QFT, I mean look at all the rivalries, Russ and Magnus, Perturabo and Dorn, Gillyman and Alpharius, Nighthaunter and well everybody (because they just don't understand lol)

Hmm, I tend to imagine all the primarchs tearing themselves to bloody ribbons below, while Sanguinius just flaps about 100 feet up, conveniently out of weapon range, occasionally pointing down at the carnage to say "Tee Hee" (or similar).

Then, at the end, there's one tired primarch left, perhaps with a missing limb or two, (who would probably be Horus), at which point Sanguinius descends and dispatches him with a well-placed prod.

I'm almost certainly completely wrong, but it's fun to hypothesize!
