Can people just show up to watch the games?

I would love to come watch all the big hitters from the internet play, but my own skill level is nowhere ready for a tournament of this caliber. Currently I would get clubbed BY the baby seals that the players in this tourney would club effortlessly. I would love to come down and pick up some pointers to fix what I'm doing wrong.

Glad to hear you guys can make it! I think we're down to 19 tickets left as of this afternoon.

As for coming just to watch, I would send an email to the TO and ask, though I doubt he'll have a problem with it. Right now we're trying to get 48 people but we have the space for 64, so if we don't hit that second ceiling there should be plenty of room. Even if we do I don't imagine it will be cramped by any means.

Here's a question. I have a Warp Wolf from the privateer press line, extremely converted and very easily a blood thirster. (I've never had any problems with it in any game ever) The rest of my army is completely GW and about 40% of my bloodthirster conversion is GW aswell. May it be used?

Thats fine. especially since it does have GW elements added to it. We have a guy in our area who has a great ww2 IG army which has lots of other scale models integrated with GW models. Looks great and acceptable to us. As long as hes on the proper sized base and theres nothing modeled to give advantage i see no issues what so ever. Sounds like he would be a good submittle for the conversion contest.

This looks like a great event unfortunately it is scheduled at the same time as New York Comicon and several Japanese Rock concerts. :( Maybe make it next year.

For anyone still interested, there are only 11 tickets left. Sales have really picked up over the past week so I don't expect these to last. If you're thinking about going I would suggest purchasing your tickets sooner rather than later.

Also, the hotel group discount rate at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains has been extended until 9/28.

This looks like a great format! I really like some of the ideas you have going on here. Especially the three brackets day two, so that everyone gets to play people of roughly their skill and army building level.

Looks like great fun! Good luck with it.

oooo

I'll bet a Guinness Alex beats Stelek if they play...

Who's down for that bet with me? (Alex and Stelek obviously can't bet... since that would be insider drinking...)

I wonder if "stelek's never been to a GT" people will try to show up and see how good they are at the game.

qwekel wants to get bigger, please click on him and level him up.

Well, considering he went to the NOVA Open GT last month and did well for himself, with no hecklers showing up just to see ... I 'spect the same will hold true here.

well guys we are almost sold out. Just a couple of slots left. We have been given additional space should we go above our initial target number. So if anyone wants a guaranteed spot i suggest registering now. we will then start to take reserved spots for an additional 16 players. So please.. if you guys want in i suggest you not wait. If we get to reserved we need to get a total of 16 to add to the tournament so get your buds and club mates together and start signing up.
