Well, I'm glad to see IA in GW online. Its cheaper, at least as far as I can tell, and its just nicer to order in dollars.
Besidesm seeing IA on the GW site will likely add legitimacy to FW as the link will be clearer.

Here's some good news. If the selling of the Forge World books in US GW stores and on the US GW website seems like a prelude to making the models more accessible, apparently it is. Sometime in the not-too-distant future FW models will be stocked in Memphis and available in the US through the US GW web store.

Considering that the Baneblade, Shadowsword, and Stompa are all priced at $99 now, I'd expect the Warhound to be $99.

A Stompa really should be paired off against a Knight instead. Though Forgeworld doesn't actually make those for either the Eldar or the Imperials (they're not even available now in Epic scale).

Nice to see the books there.

At least it provides us a better argument to people who are unsure about playing against it, "Hey, I bought this on Games Workshops web store, of curse it is official". Since IA5 the Imperial Armor books have been labeled 'expansion' right on the cover. So there should be no arguments. They are exactly the same as playing an Apocalypse, Cities of Death, Planetstrike or Spearhead game. If you guys want to play an expansion game (of any kind) then you do, if you don't you don't. Where the books are sold changes nothing.

You'd need a game of 2000+ points to do that anyway, so in a "regular" game it would never happen.

If true, that could be very interesting. I just got my first order of IA books into my store. If they add FW to the US website, I'm assuming I'll be able to add some FW to the store as well, on a regular basis. How I do it now is sort of haphazard ie. I trade other stuff to the never ending parade of players that buy FW stuff and then it sits on their shelf for two years unbuild.)

The IA books appeared in my local GW store here in Oz this week, numbers 2 to 8.
I was going to buy the first Siege Of Vrakks book today, but the minister of finance told me I had enough books and not to.
So I'll sneak out on wednesday and buy it.

as a FLGS, do you get a discount from MSRP on it or do you end up selling it at cost? i'm trying to see if i should convince my local store to do the same as a special order but i doubt they'll bit unless they can make a profit (they sell GW at 10% off retail).

I'm surprised that they're selling IA2, frankly. It's supposedly on the chopping block to cease printing and be replaced with an updated version with alot of the material from IA: Apocalypse and some new stuff even, like IA1 is.
