I've never, ever gotten any models for xmas, and this year will be no different. No know that knows me well enough to buy a present for me knows enough about them to know what to buy. I usually just end up with cloths, half of which don't fit or look dumb.

When it comes to minis give people flamingly omg a sub-moronic neanderthal couldnt screw this up explicit lists of the mini's you want. It helps.

My Missus will usually start "browsing" through my notebooks containing army list/want list around Thanksgiving...always end up with a few things listed,last year it was some Forge World Death Guard conversion kits...what can I say,I got lucky.

My family refuses to fuel my "habit" with gifts... I will probably get power tools to aid in my job. Which is cool because the money I save by not buying them goes to Forgeworld!

How's that for sidestepping?!..Muwahahahahaha!

Last year I mentioned I wanted the Forge World tank painting book that they put out, sent my GF a link to it and all. She said something like, she wanted to get me something useful instead. So yeah, I won't be getting any model stuff this year either

Some time to paint all my models would be really nice - other than that ... nothing, I'm quite content :-)

Useful??...yes,because nothing says "Merry Christmas!!" like something "useful"...ahh,I remember as a child,how I'd awake on Christmas morning,rush to the tree,excitement growing and eagerly push past the Shogun Warriors and G.I. Joes in search of those "useful" socks...thanks Grandma.

I have more guard than I can reasonably build and paint and for some reason recently bought another FoW army on top of the British armour company I can not yet find time to finish!

The mrs keeps asking me what I want but I can only think of things that will just collect dust for 6 months?

Quite a conundrum......maybe i'll just ask for some socks?

From what has been said on other threads you might need the power tools to fix the FW parts

I think I threw everyone for a loop, as this is the first year I haven't asked for gaming stuff.

Really, other than some stuff for long term projects(and being that they're long term, no immediate need) and a couple Screaming Bell/Plague Furnace kits, I'm good until the new Skaven releases in January.

So I asked for some 3rd Party Transformers stuff instead.

I look at it this way. I have asked for "toys" in the past and received nothing of the sort. I have a new sock fetish. If I could wear a new pair of socks everyday for the rest of my life, I would. I just like the feel of new socks. Yes, I am weird. No I am not a grandfather, but if I was I would buy your toys for you as I understand the importance of having a hobby. I am not your grandfather though so you are gonna get a few new shirts, some tool item and maybe a gift card to some restaurant that you only go to because the wife likes eating there, but you hate because they dont have that spanish waffle souffle thing that you love. Sorry.

So I ask for socks. Never get socks, but I continue to ask anyway. I can have dreams.
