Haven't gotten anything tabletop related, but I got $450 dollars in check form that is going towards the PAX: East convention in late March/early April. Hopefully a couple of you guys might be there and maybe I'll meet a couple fellow Dakkites at the warhammer tables! Probably bringing my Chaos Daemons again this year, hoping for another 2nd place or better!

Also, got Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions if we're including video games at all.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Absolutely nothing gaming related, my family considers 40K to be a kids hobby. Lame, I know. But my grandmother gave me a half gallon of SKYY vodka, and my parents bought me a new TOPS cigarette rolling machine. Seems odd to me that they won't buy me 40K stuff but they'll happily supply me with cigarettes and booze, go figure. LOL

It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies.

Batman Arkham Asylum for the X Box from my brother.
Some socks and deodorant and so on from my other sister.
Beer, a thermal vest, chocolate and "Quantum Mechanics: A New Introduction" from my parents, which is nice. I bet I'll be cursing them as I struggle through it and force myself to relearn all the calculus I'll need for it, though

Wow some great gifts! I love hearing about the great gifts everyone has received...

My Gifts: Stompa, Battlewagon, Lootas, and Stormboyz. Non-gaming gifts include a Barnes and Noble gift card and grooming brushes for my dog... he's really fluffy and needs proper brushing!

Bought for myself: Big Forgeworld order - Grot Mega Tank, Looted Rhino, Grot Sponsons, Weathering powder set, Ork Glyphs, Ork etched brass

We had a cute little dusting of snow so the ground is all white. A fire is blazing in the fireplace. Egg nog is being poured and Prime Rib for dinner prepared. These last are my favorite parts of Christmas!

Or you could buy an Android tablet for $100 and have enough left over to buy a small army.
