i would spend the points on Landspeeders with Typhoon missile launchers that can deep strike with the rest of the army.
And DoA armies arent supposed to deep strike 100% of the time. They just can opt to deepstrike. Thats why it makes no sense to me.
Yeah, but i think everything in a DoA army should be able to deep strike.
you could buy Drop Pods or Landraiders for them, but that would be less points in Assault Marines and other things.
Which is the problem because any type of fire support doesn't deep strike. Except the Typhoons which doesn't work well. Also, why do you need everything to be able to deepstrike?

It gives you options.
Typhoons work very well.
you can always deep strike them away from your opponent so they are safe.
Theme is also a consideration.
Typhoons would be more fluffy in a DoA list while filling the same role for the same price.

This is the first thread about blood angels that isnt a beat down in quite some time.
Well, (hopefully it hasnt been said already) dont forget that your libby has a force weapon, and should give any trygon a run for its money.
Mephiston eats nids for breakfast, but lets not go into that.
As said earlier, blood angels have a swath of weapons they can use. Lash's are always tricky, whether they be lash whips or lash of submission, lashes are bad, and you should try your best to take away their advantage, which means destroying vindicators and defilers versus lash of submission, and simply staying at range versus lash whips.
Plasma is the best thing for MCs nearly all the time, especially tyranid MCs, because they dont have invulners. I dont own the BA codex so I am not very sure the cost or number, but taking plasma in sang guard squads instead of melta is a surefire way to remove some MCs from the board.
Btw, Vanguard vets? Odd to see them. More or less your list needs changing to take on hoard mc.

then why does the Landspeeder entry have a Typhoon as the picture?

In a pure DoA army each unit should be able to make use of the DoA rule.
Landspeeders, Drop Pods, Landraiders do not benefit from this rule and so eventually will arrive later than the DoA units, which should be avoided.

I have been using Three Dreads in DP for my 1500 Pt DoA BA Army. All I can say is that three dreads along with the RAS create a highly mobile scary force!
So although a DP may not be "fluff" for DoA, it can definitely be a good support for DoA units.

And definitely take a look at Flavius' ideas for making lemonade. Especially the part about not deep striking right next to the MCs and allowing them to charge you on their terms.
In summary, "All DoA" armies are mono-faceted, which hyper-exaggerates their weaknesses, so either include long range fire support, deep strike some land raiders full of assault terminators, or accept the difficult match-up and use as many dirty tricks as you can to stabilize.
Are you serious? No one deep strikes the landraiders. Heck I've never seen one new BA army that features a landraider. This is a discussion about DoA armies after all. Terminators don't work.

I presume this was a misstatement, and you're only talking about DoA armies.

It doesn'tmatter if the monstrus creature has termagaunts in front of it...because the monstrous creature has the above all other ruling in which it only receives cover if more than 50 percent is covered...and most nid monstrous creatures I've seen are easily twice as tall as a gaunt.

Shenra, they're not talking about using the gaunts to give cover saves; the gaunts are used to prevent the SM player from getting the ASSAULTS he wants to on the big bugs.
