'Ere an dere

Since Space wolves are quite based on scandinavian (vikings) the name is fitting in two ways. First it sounds like those names did sound during those ages, and secondly it is similar to the word "snygg". Swedish for beutiful.

Indeed. It actually means "Red Snow" in Russian, with a few little tweaks. After reading "Prospero Burns" I noticed that "Wurgen" is loosely based on German and Russian, with some of the vowels removed, much like they did with Latin to make "High Gothic" for the rest of 40k.
