SO its been a little while but as with all projects that i start they move in fits and bursts of energy. My land raider and my terminator squads are the first that are feeling the shift in attitude. I spent a couple of hours working on adding the mark of nurlge to the outside pannels of my land raiders. Hundreads of holes drlled with a pin vice drill and lots of scaping on the sides and edges so that there is lots of evidence of corrosion and wear. Yeahhh. done for the most part.
Then the grill. I was/am sculpting the beginnings of a toothy grin onto the front assault doors of the Raider. I am torn on a name for the raider but having been thinking of calling it Nurgles Maw. The bells that are hanging along the front from chains ring with the sceams of the dying and lost. The forgeworld doors, what can be said but thanks FOrgeworld. Your products are awesome. Love em.
The final shot is of the terminator that bears the mark of nurgle. He is also equipped with a powerfist with a heavy flamer grafted to the bottom. The squad that he is a member of shall be known as The Hearlds of Typhus.
Comments welcome.

So i am getting more work done. Been rushing a bit because i have to get a landraider, predator and 7 lesser demons plus 5 terminator done by the end of the month so i can enter them into NorCon. Yeahhhhh. so first off. The predator that i need to provide some fire support. It has preherasy sponsons and came primed black so i have been scraping and drilling like mad. Nice that it was already assembled and avalable for the low low price of 15$, SCORE. Should i strip it of the black primer or just paint over it. what do you think dakka.
i have been painting like mad to get the raider done. HAVe to finish the interior. all i have to do really is finish up the roof since most of the engine is finished to the point where i will feel good about it. I didnt like how the back and the floor are detailed but you can totally see the ceiling through the front asssault doors and there is NO detail. Harumph. Where was the detail oversight commity on this one guys, come on. SO this necessitated the installation of a falling panel that is being pushed down by the demonic spirit that has infested the Raider. I am working in 105 degree temps today so in order to work on the tenticles and get them just right i have to cool the Green stuff in the freezer so it wont just sink and go limp. Hmmmm. So the end result is this thing. The last shot shows more or less how it will look installed. I am pretty happy with the overall feel of the whole thing. Anyways. two tanks, 7 lesser demons and 5 terminator in one month. we shall see if i can pull it off. plus i need to finish the display base. cant forget that.
Questions and comments appreciated.

I have actually reached a point where I am now considering using the Army Painter method of painting....basecoat green, color in other areas, dip, anti gloss....
...which im going to give a go regardless, already in the process of nominating a few helpless volunteers.

Are you planning of doing anything further with the tentacle idea? I think interior is great and ads real life and character to the tank. I just wonder if you intend to extend it further through the exposed hatch on the roof? I can imagine it would be a wonderful model given your skills, but a real pain to transport!

I HATE that you suggested that taffiarti. Just kidding, actually its a pretty awsome suggestion. I just might do that but it will depend on how much time i have to wrk on all of this stuff. I need it done by the end of the month for NorCon. Time will tell.

So just a quick update. though i have been working severall hours every day it seems like this project is getting nowhere. ahhhrrrrgg. The curse of CHaos. Oh well. So i am soaking the predator in simple green to strip the paint. This has been going on for days now. Soon it will be ready for the tender ministrations of a tooth brush. In the mean time I have been working on the landraider of Doom. Thanks taffiarti for the suggestion. I did add some tentacles poking out the hatch on the roof and it added nicely to the overall apeal of the project. I finally finished assembly of the raider, without instructions it was a little bit sketchy. Especially since it was my first land raider ever. With close to 5000 pts of ultramarines i never bought a raider but nurgle is blessed. So ... Lots of GS action still has to happen. I have been working on the top and sides. Lots of boils and pustules. Later today maybe i plan to install the plauge vents in place of the smoke stacks on the back of the raider and then i plan on also adding some oil drums with hoses leading into the engin area.
The terminators continue to be a headache. I need suggestions on this stupid banner. I know that the mark of nurgle that is on the banner is NOT perfect so i am going to go back through and re address the top circle. however the overall appearance of the skins that it is made out of is not good. any suggestions please.

Love the daemon prince, the almost delicate greenstuff work on the landraider (puts my new vindicator to shame) and I'm stealing Nurgles herald if I can find another terminator!

These all look superb, for the banner might I suggest going back over it and sculpting pustules on the skin. Maybe if your up to it, sculp a nurgling hanging onto a symbol of Nurgle on the banner top. It could be the banner is just a pain in the arse. I used one of them before for my old Plague Zombie Lost and the Damned army and it was just a complete pain to make it work.

How did I not see this yet? Dude your work is AMAZING! The attention to detail on your Land Raider hull shames me! Why didn't I think of that? Pustulent corrosion abounds! Your GS work is perfect. And you paint really well.
Really, I'm embarrassed that I missed this. Subbed and really looking forward to more! Praise Father Nurgle!

On the banner I think Mr Malevolent has some ace ideas. I hesitate to offer any ideas - but here's a few...
A light mud wash might tie it all together, some dried blood at the stitch points could look cool too, maybe 3D the nurgle symbol with greenstuff - given your skills that should be easy.
Cheers Laney

Thanks for the suggestions guys. There will be no more GS on this banner though since it and the othe 5 termis have to be done by the 30th. Also i have to finish the predator, 7 lesser demon and the land raider. Ugh. also the battle board to display them on. However.... I LOVE the nurgling swingin on the pole and the 3d nurgle symbole idea. I need to fashion a second mark of nurgloe for my other termnator squad and one for the land raider. If i have time i will make a similar banner for the top of the land raider. all the suggestions were great.
O2Laney... you know i think that the mud wash and blood flecks here and there would totally work. maybe today before work i can work on it a bit. Thanks.

Wow, I love that Land Raider inside!!! And I am especially impressed by the smooth sculpts on the outside... Could you explain how you did that? I know I will probably never reach such precision, but a few tricks might help! Those pus-filled bubons are awesome! As for the herald... I was thinking of GS too, but you already put that aside...

@Yggdrasil...
The puss filled growths on the outside of the raider are really easy to achieve. Just take small bits of GS and roll them into balls. Wait a day or so till they have completely hardened. Then apply a small blob of GS to your tank, Smooth it out with wet scupting tools. I smear the edges with the back of a tool that is very much like a small spoon. Cut a few of your premade hardened GS balls in half and gently push them into the face of the putty on your tank. I then use stuff like an automatic pencil lead to dimple the surface and make some larger holes where the pustules have ruptured. Finished. Always work with wet tools when using GS.

just a little update here and a shout out of thanks to all who have taken the time to comment and make suggestions. Awsome.
SO i had to take some time off of this project. I am still working on school stuff so i spend about half of my week under water diving and hunting turtles so when i get home i dont really have the energy to do this. However with time passing i NEED to get these done by the end of the month or else i am going to be fielding my Ultramarines at the upcoming Norcon.
SO in order to make some progress i worked on my lesser demon (plauge bearer) and Plauge himself who is leading sqaud number two into battle. The plaugebearer is almost done. I just have to finish the base and he is pretty much table ready. Plauge is done. I had so much fun putting him together. The blood angels captain whos head rests in his hand and whose stump is firmly planted beneath his boot does not really spell out a hatred for blood angels. It was just a nice color to add some bling to my army. I played Plauge in a game a couple of weeks ago and won against a blood angels player. It was a massacre and in retrospect i should have realised that when he saw all the bits of blood angels glued to the bases that he might take offence. Oh well. SO without further adu...

I'm not really fond of the "I just ripped your head off & I walk on your body" scene, but the Plague Marine model is nicely kitbashed, with nice colours & paint...
In short, I love it on the last pic, a bit less on the previous one...
Great job though!

@ Laney ~ There are a lot of possesed bitz, some GS on the shoulder pads and lots of pinvise hole drilling. I spent forever drilling some of my marines out.
@ diphranq That helmet is my favorite bit that GW supplies on their CSM sprue. I dont want to use any repeat bits on my Plauge marines so i am going to be forced to GS some new helms that looks similar.
