@Ssgt Carl : Thanks, but no I only go by this username here and on MWG.
@oadie : Yeah I did lose some of the actual lines when the photo was colour balanced (I take pics with a 100 W regular bulb, so they always come out really beige/yellow and have to be adjusted back to how they look naturally).
@Sevenups and others who have asked me how this is done : My yellow is really simple. Basically I just paint and highlight up to a really really bright yellow, brighter than I actually want (think sunburst or lighter) then wash all over with Gryphon Sepia. It looks brown after you do this, but by the time you've painted all the accents and details with other colours it looks really yellow again. Not sure if it's because of extended drying time w/sepia, or if it's all in my head.
Yellow is a weird colour in all applications, its tones are really analogous to whatever is near to it. I think that between this and the fact that yellow pigments are the weakest in general is why a lot of people struggle with it.
I just keep it as simple as possible, the more coats/highlights you try to apply the more headaches you run into.
I've got a squad of Killa Kanz and some other Badmoonz models finished that have yet to be photographed, but now that I've made a lightbox and gotten my hands on a tripod the pics will be coming along shortly, stay tuned
