The post will be slower for a book made out of gold, as it clearly must be given the price.

"There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious—makes you so sick at heart—that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part. And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all" Mario Savio

Well after my post above it must have done the trick...

It arrived at my mates office (he ordered a copy too). He is blown away by it (though it is his first WW2 rulebook so the historiography appeals to him), so looking good so far...

I agree with you guys. I play flames of war anyway, so not into bigger scales, but if i was i wouldn't pay £50 for the book. If i had the money to, then of course, but i think it's just a tad too much. BTW Big P, did you get to have your games with the book? If so what was the system like?

The Crusaders-3600 points
Bor'Kan Sept-2500
Tyranids-1700 points
Imperial Guard Molov 67th Armoured Division- 2500 points

Got the book last week... Its huge!

Stunning presentation. One of the best wargames books I have ever seen... Rules look pretty damn good too.

So far Im really surprised at how good it all looks.

Hope to play the first game Friday.

Just planning my force...

Finally a set of rules that model fire suppression of the enemy, and a rather neat morale system.

The more I read, the more I like.

Will do a big review after the first game. That will be the true test...
