I really got started when a mate of mine at the time gave me a bunch of old Zygote figures from RT. These fascinated me for a while, I wasn't really sure what to with them!

After a week or so he called me up and I went round there and had my first ever game of RT in his garage. It was special for me, some of my greatest memories of wargaming stemmed from that winter. After 2nd Ed was released I convinced my dad to buy it for me. Que hours of fun learning to play the game with my bro. We glued the mini's up and started to play on the floor of our front room, complete with the cardboard scenery and the cardboard Ork dreadnought! Good times!

Within maybe 9 months I had a Smurfs army with BA allies and my lil bro had the same amount of points in Orks. I do remember us getting very confused about the rules for AV....we thought that every shot that hit a vehicle removed that amount of points from said vehicles AV total! Que lots of Rhinos getting destroyed by stray Shoota rounds that would have otherwise never hurt them!

But overall great stuff, and we have been playing and collecting ever since.....
