You think Citizenship is easy and pointless?

Wait until you are forced to do A Level General Studies!

Only two universities in the ENTIRE COUNTRY accept it as a real subject.

One of the questions on my exam I sat in January was 'How should young and old people resolve conflicts?' I suggested a Mad Max style Thunderdome, and got a B.

That's disgusting. You should have got an A.

I remember in my Gen. Studies class, we were taught how to microwave sausages. True story. They come out kind of crap. Fortunately, I took some extra curricular studies in advanced sausage cooking, and grill them these days. Good course, came on a packet of sausages.

Oh, and proud member of Britain's most academically tested (and experimented on) generation, reporting here!

Well done on the marks, guys. You're nearly out of that nightmarish machine, the school system, now.

I remember doing A Level General Studies. It was basically Literature. Only all science A Level students had to take it.

There was no General Science for all arts students. It didn't seem fair.

I suspect the Microsoft Paperclip was invented to help all arts students.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Really? I suspect it was invented to vex them. I've yet to hear even anecdotal evidence of it being helpful.

Mine were pretty average, probably could have done a lot better if i revised.

B: Maths, Sport BTEC (well Merit, but counts as 2 Bs), IT
C: English, Science, History, RE.
D: Geography (I should have got an A... no idea how i ended up with a D)

A Levels i also managed to do pretty average at, should have really gotten an A in Film Studies, A or B in Philosophy, and Photography could have been higher, but it wasn't. At AS i got a B for Geography (makes sense doesn't it, getting higher mark with supposedly harder work), for the full A Levels i got B in film, C in Philosophy and Photography. Which is all i needed to get into my first choice uni (for some reason, my first choice had the lowest needed grades ) But a bit disappointed that i just got a B in film (I think was about 1/2 marks off an A) and took my AS grade of A in Philosophy down to a C overall...
