I'm so happy that someone asked this already. I was jut about to post this Q. Thanks everyone for your input on this subject so far. An amendment to the beginners guide should include that Warmachines can play with Hordes.

Putting Grievous Wounds into Battle College doesn't help much, are their any Merc solos that can do it?

Fiona the Black also has it, Cryx have access to the Stalker warjack with Grievous Wounds. Because Grievous Wounds lasts for one round you can do a little damage to a warbeast with the model with Grievous wounds then let a Warjack take out its aspects.

God I hate stalkers... creepy fethers have eaten me more then one.

Oh btw, to the guy that legion doesn't have the same amount of synergies etc. It's because we don't need them to stomp you

I play Legion as main army, and my second army is Khador (pVlad tier). And I can say that both mechanics are (in my experience) each others equals through careful balancing in every aspect of an army. It's really not a discussion of this one thing versus that other one thing, it only works as a big picture.

I started learning by playing the cygnar battlebox vs my friends legion. It worked fine, but it was a bit frustrating as I kinda knew what focus did, but not fury.

Took me awhile to learn the differences and then my own synergies that let me compete on a level field.

But overall it helped because when I play against hordes players now I am not caught offgaurd by al the fury mechanics as much. Still learning the different factions, though.
