On the SM Side of things, for me the Venerable Dread strikes the right balance of purposeful form and decoration.

Troopwise , a well painted set of Terminators accompanied by a Chaplain in terminator Armour have a menacing image to match their stats.

It is not aimed at attracting younger audiences - Hasslefree isn't GW, targeting the young-teen market

cant argue against Lemartes, a polished step up from nilla marines, you dont need to get close enough to read the label to know where he stands.

some of the Tau vehicles look pretty slick & the Sisters of Battle Immolater would be fun to field :-D ( the nilla chassis kept it off my top list )

yes the GW one is not nearly as awesome, however that one is also Steel legion and from like 3rd edition.

i have two favorite models. the Kommando Nob with the robo hand and klaw.
and the Blackreach set Warboss! haha awesome detail and looks meaner than ghaz.
