This seems as finiky as saying a Sanguinary Priest in terminator armour doesnt get the FnP and FC beacause it has a chalice of blood, not a blood chalice which is described in the rules, or BA whirlwinds and vindicators not having a blast template because it was ommited from the rules (I know these have now been FAQ'd now, but at the time....)

I mean, what unit types are there?
Infantry (and derivatives ie JI, bikes etc), MC's, Vehicles.

They have to have the "Independent Character" special rule to be considered a character proper.

I personly like the Deathleaper and his rules. But IMHO I don't think he is worth his points.

The problem I have with him, is how he' still subject to instinctive behavior. It's hard for him to be off doing his own thing when you have to worry about synaspe range.

Ld10 will avoid this 90% of the time.besides if he fails just use where it go and put him in reserve

I've played a couple games against deathleaper with mephiston lead blood angels, and honestly his power didn't do anything more than the 3d6 did. I wouldn't field him based on stopping super psykers.
