A very interesting concept.
Are you using the Black Scorpion Tombstone Miniatures?
|
Armies | Space Marines (Void Knights - Own Chapter), Space Wolves & Dark Angels | Imperial Guard Cadian and Kasrikin | Grey Knight/Sisters/Inquisitors | Empire - Hochland | Britanan (Relics) | Mordor & Gondor |
Hello, although I'm a static Zero.
I'm fighting all your wars.
Warning: These miniatures contain lead and should not be chewed or swallowed.
These Miniatures may well be miscast... |

Glad you like the idea and the rules. Something just feels so right about cowboys, lasers, and velociraptors.
Since you can proxy figures and use existing terrain and really only need to print 2 roster sheets the game is pretty easy to get into, so I definitely recommend giving it a shot

Ok, this is great. First, I LOVE skirmish games, second, I LOVE games that meld different timelines together, third, I LOVE western feeling things such as Fallout: New Vegas. I've got tons of heroclix bits & parts that I can use to convert figures for this game, just no dinos :(. Time to hit the dollar tree! Now I just need to find some people to game w/.

I knew I bought Ruby for a reason.
Rather nice minis you have there, and thanks very much for sharing this game. You've really got the dusty ol' cowpoke look down pat.

Not sure you should have the words "cow" and "pat" in such close proximity.
Mind you, cowpats would be nothing compared to dinopoop.
Apologies for lowering the tone.
but you deserve it coming on here with a swagger and a boast about havung Ruby. NO FAIR! me want
HAve you started to put her together yet?

Unfortunately, I've not. It's a rather intimidating model, to be honest. I want to make sure I can actually paint competently before working on it, haha.
I got to tell Mr. McVey that at GenCon and he just laughed.

Better to have her in the stash and have something to aspire to than get the skills only to find the last one has just been sold!
Ain't that always the way?!

Nice, malifaux models would definitely work pretty well. I know reaper has some cowboys and whatnot too.
Is this getting too off-topic considering it's a showcase thread? It doesn't seem like you mind too much, cody, but I'd be happy to make a new thread somewhere to discuss the plethora of available cowboy and/or dinosaur models out there if you do mind.

Hugely, I'm always happy to get more exposure on the game, so thanks! I'll post a couple pictures of Papo dinos besides 40k figures to give an idea of scale. Looking forward to seeing where the thread goes though!

I had been keeping mainly to the Skirmish Scale Games subforum where I posted a bunch of battle reports over the past year:
Modoc Forest Dinoegg Heist
Keyes, Oklahoma Street Fight
The Bounty at Caldwell Lake
Encounter at Bosler. Wyoming
And back when the game was still an RPG I had posted about it here.
Do you think it'd be okay in General Discussion? I always figured it'd get moved since that's 40k-centric.
