I was wondering about Bloodbowl, the boxed game disappeared from the UK Gw site about 4/5 days ago.

A blood bowl update would be awesome. I'd buy that for a dollar!

I just hope it would be an ongoing game and not another limited "let's scoop up some cash" game that's sold out before people even see it in White Dwarf*

I'd buy a limited version of Blood Bowl. Even if it was a one-off, the rules would be extendible for older teams and all kinds of wild stuff.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

When you say ongoing I hope you only mean "selling the new box set" and NOT rules.

My hopes for a new box, besides new models and high grade game peices.
- A full copy of the CRP rule book with ALL 24 teams.
- Real card decks for the special plays decks.
- Models for Cheerleaders (3 per side), Apo (1 per side), Blood Babes (1-2 per side), and a Assistant Coach (1 per side).
- And maybe a Dungeonbowl rule set. Even better if the added a page of tiles for playing it aswell.

Here hoping the Human and Orcs are badass looking. As we all know there going to be the core teams.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.

By ongoing I meant, you buy the box set that is always available and not a limited game like Pirates of the Warhammer, and the box set got all the stuff you need.. then they release different models for different armies/races over time, etc. Even if they do it like an expansion set it would be cool too, like you get Skaven & Dwarf teams in one expansion, tomb kings vs vampire counts, or whatever else.

Or at the very least, have rules for other teams and tell ya how to convert them out of the current models that are out there.

Got you. As for teams there 24 BBRC legal teams. GW should not make new rules or teams for Blood Bowl, there have no clue how the balance there core games, they be no better here. Sadly it might of been there plan to destory the hard and long worked on Blood Bowl rules when they got rid of the BBRC.

It was some sort of humour maybe deadpan snarker or dry humour, however if I was whining it'd strengthen it after all it would be over a very trivial thing.

I like Bloodbowl, but I don't think that GW can compare with some of the mats and teams that non-GW companies are selling right now:

The Lord of the Rings miniatures, as a general rule, are quite beautiful. However I've never really been drawn into playing the game (despite hearing good things).

I do remember hearing GW has the license to make models from The Hobbit, so I imagine/speculate another box game or 2 (one per film) are likely to coincide with release.

Bloodbowl sounds cool, Ive always thought about trying that game, and a revamp would be the time to jump aboard. But honestly, Id like GorkaMorka to make a surprise appearance. That game had/has so much potential, specially now that Orks are so much more popular now then they were then

I can comfirm it is sometime next year.

I was at Gamesday getting my origanal copy signed by Jarvis Johnson and I was asking about what will happen to the metal models from Bloodbowl?

His exact words were "Next year we are bringing out the metal models in Citadel Finecast so keep an eye out".

I also asked of a possiblity of a new box set coming out. He said "I can not say yes because I do not know yet because the current box set comes with plastic models. I want it to happen but its not just up to me"

Last Question I asked was "will the finecast release be for all races?" He said very firmly yes.

I cant wait

lol, I would too, but don't hold your breath. I'm surprised GW isn't making everything limited, considering how much they love doing it.

If it is a limited release then I'm not buying it. I'm seriously getting tired of that crap.

And of course, you could also get it from the manufacturers themselves (depending on exchange rates it is sometimes cheaper).

If it's just a one off heres some humans and orcs in a box I will be disappointed and it will show GW really havent a clue about the wants of its consumer base.
Its true many other companies do fantasy american football ranges but how many kids going into games workshop know this or would deviate from the indoctrination and brainwashing and actually bother to buy alternative companies products?
BB would be a chance for GW to make a good product, even with short term (6 to 12 months) support and then rerelease another specialist game, similar to previous behaviour. True once you have one of each team you'd want to play they dont get anymore sales, but with how much these teams will cost it will take us that long to save up for just one

Second game? I am hoping beyond all hope they do epic 40k again, with models once again reasonably priced. As you can see from just that I am in for two dissapointments. Well, one really, the second shall never come to pass really...

If I might interject...

I dislike limited releases as they dictate my spending patterns. If I want something, I have to buy it now. That doesn't take into account variations in available funds I have to spend from month to month. You know, real life costs that can put a cap on your spending for your hobby. With GW's policy of not letting me know that something's coming out until it's practically out, I can't plan ahead for the cost either.

I could be tempted back into gaming with a Necromunda style version of Dark Heresy. That would be sweet!

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

Although, if you read the quote from Jervis provided by the chap above, all the old metal ranges are going to be re-done in Finecast. So, at the very least there will be that rather large range that could act as an expansion if we wanted it.

Really the only stupid thing they could do with BB would be to make it an extremely limited release, now that the original is withdrawn from sale..

Given the amount of sprue that came with Space hulk and what would appear to be included in Dreadfleet I would suspect more then two teams. the original box was pretty low on plastic in comparison.

On another note I do agree with people that I would like to see this not being a one off release, and I like limited one off releases, but to replace a readily available game with a one off release would be annoying to say the least.

4 plastic teams in one box for Bloodbowl... can't say as I'd be unimpressed.

It would really be a kick in the trousers to release Bloodbowl as a limited box set. I would genuinely be surprised and, to be fair, disappointed to see that.

However, I don't expect that we will see that. Rather, I think we'll probably see a limited release box set, with certain contents of the set continuing to be available after the limited box has sold out. Miniatures and rulebook, for example.
