Character: Shas'o Ksi'm'yen Aloh Kir'qath (Translation: Fire Caste Commander of planet Ksi'm'yen Coldwind the Defender, usually shortened to O'Aloh, Commander Coldwind)
Race: Tau
Planet: Ksi'm'yen
Personal unit: XV8 Battlesuit armed with a Double-Barrelled Plasma Rifle, Burst Cannon & Shield Generator. Uses a more heavily armoured XV89 Crisis Suit. Usually accompanied by two XV81 Cloudstorm Battlesuits (Two Burst Cannons & Shield Generators) with back-mounted Smart Missile Systems.

Bio: A calm and calculating commander at the battle-ripe age of 14, O'Aloh has lead the Fire Caste to victory in hundreds of wars. He is dutiful, honourable and a tactical genius, the ideal Tau commander.

At least, that's what Tau propoganda would have you believe. In reality, O'Aloh is a mediocre commander with an unimaginative mind and violently short temper. He's at his best when up close and personal with the enemy, blasting the life out of them with a plethora of weapons and mercilessly kicking those who come too close. He's at his worst when he's at the back of the field being forced to plan his next actions.

His high rank in the Tau military is entirely due to the fact that he's a political animal, a natural at shaming his rivals and giving himself credit. He's loved by the public and his face is seen all over the Empire on posters and at Fire Caste barracks. If he wasn't so loved by the public, the Ethereal Council would have him assassinated immediately for incompetence.
