Unfortunately an awful lot of Gamers fall in to these categories. I recently started playing with an older group ( Men in 30s - 50s). We set it up in our Garages and meet up Monthly and it's usually a convivial meeting with Real Ale, Single Malt Whiskey and a Cheese Board and we fight out an enjoyable battle or two together. It's wargaming for mature adults and actually I find it rather wonderful, as they give me advice or raising kids etc.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest! |

This sounds beautiful.
Need to pull my finger out and get mine set up like this.
My girlfriend won't have anything to do with the hobby, that includes those that play it The only time that she ventures into a store is to pull me out of it.

My wife wants to come along and play too. She has a Space Marine army (Pink of course) and a decent understanding of the rules. We use to sit and paint models together a lot.
You would think this is a good thing, but sometimes I just want to hang out and talk to people without her. Harsh, I know.
However, she is very happy I'm not a Softball player of Hunter where I disappear all weekend severl times a year.

I once let my wife play a game of BFG with me, used to doing intro games naturally i let her win so as to make her want to play more.
not only is she "not bothered" with the game but she now won't let me live down the fact that she beat me and claims that my "intro style game" is just a ruse to cover my embarrassment....
so now i don't let her play any games at all lol.
well alright we played a fair bit of Space hulk but she just got upset when i won
Now we both sit on the couch, TV on whilst i paint and she crochet's, it keeps the status quo lol
when i want to game the lads come round and she goes out, nuff said.
