They're absolutely fantastic and I'd love to know which kits would be best suited/recommended as mounts?

I'd also like to know this!
I was kitbashing some Cadiam RRs and was stuck on the arm/leg combos i was going to use.
Once again you've created gold, vic!
Thanks!

they are made to fit the current GW Pistolier horse. most will go straight on the horse. Depending on the pose a little bending, filing or filling may bee needed. This should not be too much hassle as my minis are made from metal that is slightly softer. Think Old school gw metal.
That said its probably easier to file the plastic horse.
They might fit some other mounts but i have not had the chance to try any yet.

What about a certain giant bipedal lizard as a mount? Have you tried that fit? I'm curious as those are what I'm going to make my RR's riding.

It's kind of a revolving door at my house!
Plus with my birthday and Christmas both right around the corner, i'll have enough
bargaining leverage to get at least my roughriders finished without too much collateral damage!

Hello V.

I have been out of the hobby since 3rd Ed. and I had no idea you existed.
I have been looking all over the place for decent heads for my IG guys, I really don't like the look of too many guys with helmets on.

I keep buying things and being frustrated by the poor quality of the sculpting on the heads.

From the looks of it I have found my answer with your heads, the bald guys are brilliant.
Then I followed the link and found your Kilted legs, as a Scot I gave a little yelp of joy.
I then read through all your threads and your bagpipe guy is looking good.

Then I noticed you are making ANZAC heads, brilliant, I have tried making slouch hats out of green stuff but I am terrible, I look forward to their release.

Now for the demanding bit.
Female guard - My wife is very artistic and I would love to see her do some painting but she wants ladies.
Realistically, under the armour all but the most bathycolpian of soldiers could be built with a standard torso.
A specific female torso would be nice but what we really need (as a community) is a range of female heads that are sculpted to your high standards.
All the heads available at the moment look like Kryten or a inflatable woman who has been in an industrial accident.

Since I'm wishing my life away I'd love a nice big dog for my CO.
A mastiff or similar.

And arms with their sleeves rolled up (not space rambo sized).

Anyway, I'll be making an order soon, of a load of heads, some kilted legs, a set of rough rider legs and an inquisition.

*cough* I certainly wasn't expecting them.

I'm very happy I found your stuff.

Thank you.

Thanks for the comments and feedback;
Female heads etc. are on the list, but will take a while.
In the meantime here is another preview;
I couldn't resist having a go at Captain Caine to lead my recent pith helmet chaps. This mini is based on my first ever GD winning squad (Caine's Cannon Fodder 1999).
I spent way to long sculpting this mini, but at least had a lot fun doing it.
Cheers,
V

You have done it again Vic, I thought for a moment I was looking at WIP pictures of your original model till I read the post it is so close to your original work. Will you be casting this guy up as well then ? I hope so I can see my order increasing by each post, sorry to be a pain but have you heard any thing on the arms and las guns, its just I want to order it all together.

Thank you very much. That news will certainly please my better half.
That sculpt of Bromhead/Caine is extremely good but as a former Royal Engineer I have to ask if you are going to do one of (then) Lieutenant John R M Chard VC/Stanley Baker?

I'd fit him into my army even though they are (predominantly) Cadian based.

You trult are a boon to the 40K community. I hope you continue to create such masterpieces on a regular basis!
Might I dare suggest some Praetorian trousered legs to complete the set? It's practically all you're missing now, and would allow people to buy full armies from you!

I think you may have missed the fact that there are victorian legs (Praetorian style) in the picture Vic had just posted, she said they will be released in a few weeks time.
