Personally I'm more conservative than liberal, but I refuse to side with any particular party. Don't get me wrong, I like parties, but not when they involve me getting strung up like a living pinata and beaten until all my money comes out of my pockets.

Well the EU alone in 500 million and the whole continent comes to 800 million or so.

Even if you only take some of the best known european countries; the UK, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy, France and Spain you get over 300 million. And that's ignoring a lot of countries in western Europe.

So um, no there aren't more people in the US than Europe by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm centre-left. I believe in the state helping people along, but I am also pretty in favour of personal responsibility.

I also don't think socialism is a dirty word.
