Indeed, World Eaters are basically nothing more than a somewhat infamous but still very obscure cult of Khorne at this point in canon...

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Important point: Daemons can be summoned through Sorcery.

Sorcery is not Psyker ability. Anyone can learn to become a Sorcerer, but being a Psyker makes it a whole lot easier.

When a Psyker manifests a power, he just thinks about it and it happens. When a Sorcerer tries to manifest the same power, he has to wave his hands, chant funny words, burn some specific kind of incense, and then that power happens.

In the table-top game, though, anything of these sorts is considered a "Psyker power" so that they don't need to have variant rules between Psyker Powers and Magic Powers (which might complicate things like Psychic Hoods and so forth).

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Yeah. But it is all Blood Magic being used in a blood hunt. Sounds Khorny enough for me

Anyway in WHFB at least Khornate Sorcerers used to work by buffing themselves and any attached unit. So not out and out psychic powers such as BoC or LoS but still warp-powered. Just subtlety.

Currently debating whether to study for my exams or paint some Deathwing

Both

Obscure because they're rare and noone ever really runs across them anymore.

Infamous because their betrayal during the Horus Heresy is written down in history with them playing a prominent role.

Which provides a rather odd contrast to their melee units.

Technically it probably does mean waht you said as well, just not in this context

I don't think Khorne would have any inherent problem with using psykers. They're not his focus, but they aren't enemies.

Khorne would use anything available to increase death and destruction. All the chaos gods are pretty open to using whatever tools are available. That's why chaos is begin to grow.

They are rare but not obscure. A bald eagle is rare, but not obscure. Being well known negates the idea of obscurity no matter how rare the subject is.

Yup. The blood pact are entirely dedicated to Khorne, but in a much more 'realistic' way than the frothing-loonie Berserkers. They had a blood witch in Blood Pact, and in fact seemed to make use of lots of little sorcerous trinkets and ritual powers.

I guess there is a difference in opening a warp rift and subjugating your opponent through sorcery. Khorne feeds off of war and bloodshed. That alone releases enough psychic energy to create rifts when the right incantations are used. I could imagine the World Eaters capturing psykers and forcing them to become vessels for daemons or opening a warp rift.

I think the one of the left might have a force sword, although it could quite easily be a daemon weapon.
