True, however one thing I love about our army is that two of our greatest unit choices that you can never have enough of are 25 and 35 USD.
Got an extra 20 in your wallet? Pop by your FLGS and pick up a Crisis suit!

You mean this?
Anyway, I've wanted to play Tau, mainly because I really want an actual Shooty army. Either Tau or Guard.

The first thing that got my attention was the cool names they have for all their stuff. Pulse Carbine, Hard-Wired Target Lock, Networked Markerlight, Missile pods, Burst Cannon, Targeting Array, Vectored Retro-Thrusters, just to name a few. Their stuff just sounds so solid and efficient, with just a touch of badass.
They give off this great vibe of scientific progress and straight forward pragmatism. For example, they don't consider retreating to automatically mean cowardice. Sometimes it's obviously the most tactically beneficial action.
Their sleek aesthetic was the other thing that drew me to them. Expanses of smooth armor, void of texture are perfect opportunities to get really creative and come up with some sweet-ass patterns. I love that their helmets cover their faces, and that they see via external camera situated off-center on their face plate.
When I was a kid, a length of 2X4 made a great pretend gun. It just felt good in my hands. Pulse Rifles are really just fancy 2X4s.
I would give my left penis for a DoWII style game featuring a Tau Kill Team...

That and the fattleforce came with a devilfish which I thought was cooler as it had better armour than my SM friends rhino. And it floated

When I had a Tau force back when they first came out, it was mainly for the look, they where so different to everything else in 40K. I don't have them atm, but its one of those armies I still glance at, and if I had the room I'd be looking at them seriously. I even picked up Tau Empire book so I could have a read.

Clearly the look sold me in the first place. The Hammerhead is the sexist tank in the game and I just love the look of the firewarriors.
I really liked its game play when it first came out, mobile shooty. Awesome fun. However, Tau is now outdated and its play style suffers under 5th edition so I don't get them out onto the table top as often any more.
