She knew she was going to effectively become a widow when the game came out. Those Steve Madden shoes I bought her may also have something to do with it.

LOL, to veer even further off topic...I currently keep my completed Assault Marines in one of my fiance's empty Steve Madden's shoe box. Oh the shame!

I have no idea what Steve Madden is, but I'm guessing they're expensive shoes!

And the witchdoctor is a slap in the face....a poor attempt to appease the fans for removing the beloved necromancer (grrrrr). I will be honest, no game ever gave me the thrill of EQ1. In that game there was a real sense of dread and danger, becuase if you died there were real consequenses, you had to run back to your body naked and grab all your stuff....and your body might not be in a convenient location...after all its where you died. also if you didnt get back in time all that prized gear would disappear. Now that was a challenge...none of this "oh i died, darn, better go throw some gold at the vendor to repair it..suck that cost me 100gp and 3 mins of my time. I mean seriously what point is there to a quest that gives you an arrow telling you which way to go? Remember when you had to work as a gaming community to solve quests using sites like Alakhazam (spelling)? I still have a binder of printed out fan-made maps for all the original EQ1 zones and Kunark zones. You used to need to have a pencil and paper to keep track off stuff...now that was gaming....stuff today is weak...the only challenge is PVP and they even screw that up after a while. I mean I got real tired of having to have 7 pieces of BOE gear to just be on the same starting field as other players...if you didnt you just got owned.

I totally agree with this. Everquest was the best MMO I ever played and nothing for me has ever come close to it glory days. These days it all seems to be mods that do all the work.

As for Diablo 3 I am really enjoying it at the moment and will play it through, however I will not be hanging around long team for the MMO side of it.

So I have not been painting much lately but will be returning to it soon enough.

They should have just left it as a stand alone game like the last two which I enjoyed very much.

A good game to be played, enjoyed then finished.

Diablo 3 is keeping me from getting diablo 3.

Currently playing diablo 2 and in about 30 minutes I have a 40k game, then a 40k rpg to play.

I won't buy a game that requires you to be online all the time, nor will I buy diablo 3 since the friggin NERCOMANCER and his skills are already in the game, in the data, and they have the GALL to attempt to make it into a DLC they want us to pay for. I say no. Too bad not enough will stand against this to make the practice stop.

It's been going on since DLC started. Some companies are infamous for charging for unlock 'keys' for content already in the game, like Capcom. If it hasn't stopped now, it won't.

I'd forgotten about D3 and this thread reminded me to have a look into getting it for some much needed mouse bashing fun. That said when did PC games start retailing at £45?!!!

Last time I got a new Chart PC game it was closer to £20-25.

Thusly I have been prompted to getting D2 (+expansion) up and running with associate loss of painting progress. Damn you OP!

When I saw it was going to be online only I suspected too much of a WoW influebce, then after reading how they were going to have an auction house you could use real money to buy items from I realised I was going to give D3 a miss.
A pity really, D2 was one of the best games I played and still install it for a romp through now and again

Incorrect, Most DLC is made after or just before release. It's when pre-game development went into making DLC and then the game is shipped out for printing is were the largest problem is. Forget the notion that companies aren't putting all the content in the game to make some of it DLC, if it's on the dics/in the data, you should get it at no charge.
