The exclusive mini will be brand new but not telling you what it is yet If we hit our goal then one of the stretch goals will be plastic female zombies.
Why are people stating "Yawn, more zombies"? I mean, I'm not a zombie fan as such, but you can use the "Yawn, more xxxxx" against almost every fantasy / Sci fi character genre available...how many elves, dwarves, vampires, knights are out there???
This is one companies take on an existing concept, either youw ant in or you don't, surely theres no "yawn" about it.
Plus, before you make those comments, consider this, people buy miniatures because they can imagine using them (normally associated with the games they play), if this company made three breasted, slug women with holy crossses for legs, sure it'd be novel and "new" but who the hell would buy it and why?......Slannesh, there I said it

three breasted zombie women.
They're "Yawning" because they don't know what they are talking about. This company has been making solid zombies for over a few years, now. These german zombies are great for fill for other Wierd WW2 zombie games.

Hey, remember when people posting unhelpful negative things about third party bits sellers posting their work here was evenly enforced? Me either, actually. Truly, all the animals are equal, but some are more equal.
I don't think there are a lot of good available zombie miniatures. I was looking at the IA renegade stuff, and one of the books deals with zombie hordes for Nurgle, and I thought, that's kinda cool. You need a giant posse though so I wanted something cheap. I looked at what was out there and was very not-pleased. You got GW, which are real expensive. You got Mantic, which while are definitely not expensive are very monotonous and of course the scale doesn't match my incorrectly-scaled Warhams. You got WGF which in addition to having the exact same scaling issue as Mantic, also has the WGF-typical soft detail. So I find it sort of surprising these guys would get such a negative reaction just for even announcing their product. You'd think we as gamers would want more options, not less.
Additionally as a Kickstarter-type project I find this to be a great execution. They have a reasonable cost, the explain where the money is going (to toolmakers, for plastic injection), and they have some concept art up along with some prior stuff. Atop that they are an established company with a reasonably likelihood they will actually ship a project more or less when they say they will, rather then buying 2 tons of Pez with the money or whatever.
I haven't signed on to this - in my experience, with these sorts of projects the longer you wait the sweeter the pot is - but I'm definitely keeping an interested eye on it and I'm kinda surprised by how many people are crapping on this. 160 multipart plastic zombie for $100, FFS!

Lacking self-determination, zombies don't work on the same level as those. A knight can be a character, while a zombie can only be the tool of a character or a threat to a character.

Sure, but Zombies are like Goblins. They work best en masse as part of a swarm or horde. These guys also make great zombies, and I like great-quality models.
Man, these guys really aren't getting much attention, I don't understand it! They look pretty ace - realised this thread doesn't have any pics yet, so here's the images they've released so far:
And if they reach their goal, everyone also gets one of these:
I'm a bit gutted that they seem to have gone for the same legs for two of the torsos, but nothing that a razor saw and a touch of GS won't fix. Studio miniatures have some awesome other stuff, so I'm still pretty excited about this. These are some of their older zombie groups (in white metal):
And they've got some ace survivor groups too:
I'd love to see this project take off, but they don't seem to be marketing it very well... They're taking suggestions of stretch goals now - a couple of people have suggested female zombs. Wade in there!
I'm not liking two of the zombies being in the exact same pose, its very limiting modelling wise especially since there are only gonna be a total of 4 different bodies. I already left a reply detailing my thoughts in their comments section earlier today.
Concerning their lack of attention I think the 90 day campaign length isn't helping them at all, its excessive and doesn't really create any urgency.
Announcing more of the future stretch goals may help attract some more potential pledges, im going to assume that they already have plastic female zombies planned as Stuart posted this about a week ago in the zombie indiegogo thread over on http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php?topic=42658.0

I think it's an understandable decision - it gives them some breathing space between themselves and Sedition Wars/Mantic/AoW/40k 6th edition.

I saw it, but like I said: mindless mooks.

Bit of a slow down recently, but a big update today! New body up - Unfortunately it's the same leg pose as the first one. Nice sculpting though.
6 sets of arms are up too - these look really good! Lots of variation, fantastic detail, and they all work with any of the bodies.
I'm a bit gutted about how they've done the bodies, but with a razor saw, some filing and gap filling, it should be possible to do a fair number of different poses. I'm also doing a post-apoc project, and I'm actually pretty excited about de-zombifying some of these and just using them for the tattered clothes!
Sold. I have been a long time fan of their work but the cost of the model kept me away. This however sold me and I'll be very happy to get the $100 deal. Infinity zombie apoc scenario is calling

Those are actually very impressive sculpting skills. I am all spent out with KoW and Sed Wars at the moment but it won't stop me picking up a set when they eventually get released!
Automatically Appended Next Post: Come to think of it, they might fit in pretty well with my Sedition Wars set as new strain models... Hmm, like that idea!

I'm tossing up whether to join in this IGG pledge, or just buy a bunch of figures right off their website without waiting for the plastics to be produced. I like that Nazi-Zombie deal they have there.
It probably wouldn't hurt to go with the $30 option, with free worldwide shipping included its a pretty good deal. The actual wait for the zombies is gonna suck depending on how long the queue is for tooling, but at this point who out there isn't currently waiting for miniatures.
Myself, im waiting for models from Zombicide, Sedition Wars, Mantic, Blackwater Gulch, Avatar of war (Warriors of Apoc, and the IGG campaign.), and Wreck-Age.
Hopefully when Stuart gets around to posting pictures of the painted 3-ups, it will help bring them enough attention to reach the 5k goal. And then we can move onto the stretch goals.
I'll get something, but I'm trying to cut down on the amount of pre-ordered stuff after also backing SW, Mantic, AoW and probably this, the Dwarves and the Kev Adams gobboes.
Finally another update after a few weeks of silence.
Studio Miniatures wrote: We have been quiet the last week or two but thats because we have been busy painting away and as you can see from the new profile picture and those in the gallery the resin 3ups have turned out very nicely. With almost two months left of the campaign it is great to see that we are 2/3rd’s of the way there.
Stretch Goals will be posted later this week as we finalise with the mould maker/tooling company what we can fit into our reserved time slot.
They look good. Unfortunately using IndieGoGo they take your money immediately, which obviously makes it harder to modify your pledge up or down as you can with KS. Also means people are probably more likely to "wait and see", which means fewer pledges upfront which means, well, vicious cycle.
On hitting our main goal we will include 1 x free Romero zombie cast in metal with every order. See our gallery for pictures.
$7,500
On hitting our first stretch goal we will include a 2 x sets of 4 NEW zombie heads cast in resin with every boxset, giving you 12 different male zombie heads.
$10,000
On hitting our second stretch goal everybody will receive the unique zombie character cast in resin AND everybody who contributed $100 or more will receive a SECOND unique zombie character cast in resin.
I dig that there is a Bub zombie model, from Day of the Dead, in there.
Good price for the product, as well.

That's good. I intend to back this one closer to the date. Since IGG takes the money from you right away and I have too much other immediate stuff to pay for - even beyond games stuff(!!)
The two-month timeframe I think might have been a bit long as well.
I emailed Stuart and he's said that they're quite happy to split orders between these Modern Zombies and their existing WWII German Zombies. I'll go in for half and half, I think. And garnish with those female zombies shown the other day.

Just giving this a lil bumpage. The main goal has been reached, so these are assured to be made and shipped. These huys make the best zombie models I hace seen out there and the HUGE thing about this is they ship free! Shipping for me in the US is what stop me from buying their stuff before so this is a super win/win.

New update from Studio Miniatures, includes the limited ed. model.
GREAT NEWS!!!
With a month left on our campaign we have hit our goal, the 3up’s are now with the mould maker ready to be put through the tooling phase. There are two processes before we get back the finished sprues but expect an 8 week turn around.
EXPECTED RELEASE DATE – EARLY OCTOBER
I have also just added a picture of the exclusive zombie miniature that will accompany all perks above $100. The mini is inspired by a famous British zombie hunter
Im surprised to see that these zombies will be getting released so soon, i was expecting at least a 4-6 month wait like most of the other KS/IGG campaigns.
