But on a roll of a 1, the flyer is allowed to tow the offending vehicle

Because Rule of Cool

I'm fine with that.
I doubt that any ork player would disagree with that, we play our army exactly because of such silly things

based on that , I would endevor to make a 72" Grabbin Klaw that attaches to a swivel in the middle of my battlewagon and has joints so I can set it to any angle... nothing will be out of my range for long.... muwahahahahahaha

let them argue their way out of that one...

It's for that very reason (and because I don't have the model) that I made my own Wrekkin' Ball, mounted on the Killkannon turret with a 4" Boom and 3" chain. It can swivel, go up and down, and the chain is an actual chain, which can be extended or brought back in. I mostly did it so it could reach all the way around the Battlewagon, though.

Well, I went into great lengths to replace the plastic fake-chain with a real chain, and bulked up the wrecking ball with some spikey bits from chaos, ork shoulder pads etc. I'm still not happy with it though.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

I think everything works like it should. flyers have to get low to do strafing runs, battlewagons are huge. BAMN

Also if you have a flier there is no reason you cant prevent it from getting into range, if you are worried about it just have to factor it into your calculations for what you do. Anti flier is pretty important in this edition since we are currently pretty short of it.
