Perhaps you can ask the GM if you can reassign your stat rolls?

AFAIK we still have spots open, but I'd wait for motyak to come back for confirmation.
Firstly, I freaking love mount tamborine. If you live near it jack you should make time to go there, the food is so goddamn good.
Secondly, yeah my bad kommando and wereat, I'll add you guys. Then we might call it at 5 acolytes for the first mission?
Ok so Mel you are now a Scum, Jack is an Assassin, Doom is a Guardsman, and kommando and were are yet to claim a role. Is that right? When you guys have them all rolled up an sorted, either PM to me or post them here, and we'll be able to crack on

Hehehehehe. . . Noobish Question. . . . is there any specific format to post your stats and skills??
in Inquisitor, a Space Marine can take a krak grenade, pull out the pin, eat the grenade, throw the pin, and the thrown pin will actually kill a normal man, whereas the Space Marine won't even have indigestion. This has actually happened in a game. Hell, a marine can throw his bolt shells and do more damage than by shooting his boltgun

Don't apologize for questions like that, lots of us are new to DH, ask away. Mel had a nice way of laying it out; Character Name: Homeworld: Shards of Memory: Class: Potential History:
Sword -- 1d10+3R, Balanced, Primitive -- Hits on ; half-aim, full -- Balanced: +10 to parry -- Primitive: AP is doubled against this weapon unless the armor itself is primitive. -- +3 damage from strength bonus -- A short sword. Knife
Throwing Knives, 10
Stimm, 3 doses
Charm
Common quality clothing
I left lots of it blank so that you can fill it in yourself, the weapons and stuff are just what one class has, you'd obviously replace them with the weapons from your class. Same as skills, you'd use the skills you buy, not the ones here.

If I'm not running an Assassin, I'm probably gonna do a Sororitas character out of Blood of Maryrs-- but not a battle sister. Perhaps a Famulous (Cleric) or Dialogous (Adept), depending on if thegroup needs more intelligence or more fellowship.
For the record, both of them start with shield robes, a staff, some fluff items, and a revolver in terms of equipment.
No powered armor here.

Sounds cool Mel, you and kommando will get along famously...
As it stands, we have Melissia - Assassin/Famulous/Adept (still to choose, if your assassin is different enough to jack's that could be OK, as I said before, if we can get an interesting thing going I don't mind if there are 2 of the same class) Doombread - Guardsman Redkommando - Psyker (probably) or Guardsman (depending on what Doombread's is like) Wereat - Decision in Progress NimbleJack - Edit: derp I mean assassin.

IRL is currently getting in the way, especially this weekend, but my Assassin is taking shape. He'll be a somewhat sleathly close-combat killer-for-hire, who comes from a backwater Imperial world.
One note of advice - flak armour, frag grenades and supressive fire is the friend of every class, so I reccomend buying a little of any two.

Damn thing, who needs it right?
Oh, and I'll consider these characters rough drafts until we have everyone's in, and then it'll be fixed. But try to be pretty sure when you tell me, I mean rough drafts in terms of 'I'd rather have another laspistol than a knife with my money' rather than 'I don't want a cleric, I want an assassin' or something. Cool beans

I've decided I'm going with Dialogous (Adept, intelligence-based scholar/mathematician/nerd) or Famulous (Cleric, fellowship based inspirer/charmer/etc), I just want to see which I should go for. If someone else wants to do an int based character like a techpriest, for example, I'd go with Famulous.

So Doom should have his character sheet to me in the next week, and I think we may have to give wereat the flick, he hasn't responded yet, and he's only posted here twice...I'll give him another day or two, and then Mel, you can just pick whoever you want for your class (since there doesn't seem to be any classes clashing with you).
And once thats done, we may be able to kick off

Well, seems like you guys are full up at the moment. If though another opening pops up, and the GM is alright with a Marine being added to the mix(using the Deathwatch rules) I'd be more than happy to jump in.

Yeah I'm afraid we're sticking to DH characters for now, if you want to knock together one (who isn't already taken) then get back to me, we aren't quite full up (wereat is out I think, he hasn't responded yet anyway), so we do have one more space. Perhaps a Scum? Or an Adept? Or an Arbitrator?
But definitely no Marines in these early stages.

If someone DOES want to play arbitrator, you may want to let them houserule getting a few skills and talents a rank or two earlier. Like Dodge.
Arbitrator is broke. And I don't mean that it's overpowered, I mean the class sucks unless built Ascension-style. Mind you, Psyker is also broke, but in the opposite direction-- but at least psyker has some negatives to go with it. There aren't really any positives for Arbitrator.

Thanks for pointing that out, we'll cross that bridge if we come to it (in respect to the psyker or the arbitrator).
I probably wouldn't have cottoned onto that until whoever played the arbitrator died a horrible painful death.

I have a question. I am leaning towards an Amalathian Doctrine for our group of acolytes (in short, puritan, keeping the Imperium in balance, despise infighting so its kind of ironic they themselves are a faction, and believe the emperor has a plan in place).
I don't think any of your fluff is too counter to that (unless you end up being some kind of heretic jack), but if its going to be an issue then feel free to shout out.
