Probably because both sculptors drew inspiration from the same places. The new White Dwarf has a little blurb about it. Basically he, Simon Egan, found every scrap of info on Angron he could find and went from there, artwork, literary descriptions, whatever else is out there.. The image has been refined for years now. It comes as no surprise they're relatively similar.

My two cents, the mini is great, absolutely brutal.

As you're the 5th or 6th person in this thread to make a point about the price, no.

My next FW purchase is this model, the HH book, the IA: Aeronautica, and the Sons of Horus Shoulder Pads and Transfers, as soon as the last 2 are released. This model looks fun to paint and assemble. It should give me at least 15 hours of hobby time. At ~$5/hour, that's not bad cost/entertainment value at all...

IMO I don't really like it, I'm not to keen on his head and I think the base is waayyy too crowded, but that;s just me

Angron can be popped out onto a smaller base.
