The Pacific Northwest Starter looks fantastic!

I am a little unclear on which war bands will be available to choose from since some of the factions seem to be stretch goals. I may have missed where this information was shared but is there a list of the factions that are guaranteed to be available to Kickstarter backers?

The basic funding is for the Aztec Triple Alliance and Pacific Northwest Tribes. The other 3 factions fall in line with the strech goals.

The figures on the pole are from the top to bottem - Thunderbird, Raven, Beaver, Bear, Turtle. Not seen is a Samon and a wolf on the back.

I am working on some new updates right now. keep an eye out.

New update on the campaign page

As we Progress, it is time for another update. This update is to the Aztec Triple Alliance War Party Starter kit. The Spirit Beast that comes with that kit is the Ahuizotl Otter.

Cryptozoologists believe the Ahuizotl Otter was once the largest Otter that has ever lived in North America and was native to the lakes and streams of Mesoamerica. According to the myths of the Aztecs and the other groups in Mesoamerica, The Ahuizotl Otter had a hand on its tail and often attacked and drowned people that wandered it to deep water. According to the logs of Christopher Columbus, he encountered one as it attack and killed a rather ill-tempered Spanish boar.

The planned size of this beast is about 20mm to 25mm at the withers and will be mounted on a new style 40mm round base.

Thanks Guys

See you next update.

What do you think?

Looks and sounds pretty cool

I like the design of this better than the semi-shark model.

Hello Guys,

We have 3 kits that are now just models. They are -

$50 Warrior - One Starter Kits and One Monster Hunter

$110 Shaman Just Models - One Spirit Beast, Two Starter Kits, Two Monster Hunters

$185 Wise Old Fox Just Models - Two Spirit Beasts, Four Starter Kits, Four monster hunters

How does this sound?

A starter kit is a set of models from a tribe? (just to be clear )

I like the just models levels posted. it gives a good range of options.

The only other thing might be a more a la cart method, where people can add a book to any pledge (what if someone wants 2 or 3?) for XX dollars, add a spirit beast for YY dollars, add an extra starter box, etc. Folks would just need to up their pledge amounts over the base amounts to cover their add ons.

I can see, though, that this may mean more logistical and tracking/organizing, maybe too much of a headache, so it just depends I guess.

I did want to say thanks for seeking input from the community. It's really cool to see.

Going Native: Warpath is real close to reaching the campaign goal. We felt that it was time for some updates.

By request, there are now all model pledge options that offer Spirit Beast in place of Core Rule books. These all model kits are great deals. For example, the Wise Old Fox All Model kit offer 60 man sized models for $3 each and the 6 spirit beasts that come with the kit are free. These kits are limited in number, so you may want to jump on it while there are some left.

I am proud to announce that Ian Mountain just finished the Pacific Northwest War Chief. This is the planned War Chief for the Pacific Northwest Tribes War Party Starter Kit.

This model was inspired by photos of the Kwakiutl (Kwakwaka'wakw) tribe taken in the early 1900s.

Also by fan request, we have also made some avatars.

The Consept sketch for the Mo'o just came in today. The Mo'o is the spirit beast that comes with the Hawaiian Koa Starter Kit.

The Mo'o is one of the most Common Guardian Spirits though out the cultures of the Pacific Islands. The Mo'o takes the form of a gekko, and it protects pools of fresh clean water on the islands.

Amazing looking sculpt!

Are there ways to buy extra squad sets, and singles of the figures?

When will these guys hit the stores?

I am shooting for a Augest release, so hopefully around that time. I am working with Game Salute to get the game in to the stores. If you guys know a British or European distributer that might be interested in putting my game in their stores please let me know.

Right now i am planning to release all of the contents of the Starter Kits as either blisters or box sets, except maybe the war chiefs. I have to see what you guys think first. So you should be able to get a nice sized War Party the first day it hits the store.

A mystery spirit beast has been spotted in the dark waters in the lakes of north and south america.

This is a special Spirit Beast will be made available to all levels Warrior and above as a Spirit Beast add on upon reaching $7000. If we reach the $9000 goal by Tuesday 10/30, every one that has the Wise Old Fox level kit or above will recieve one of these Mystery Spirit Beast for no additional cost.

What do you think it is?

The Lake Monster found in the lakes of the americans are know by meny names, Ogopogo, Memphre, Nahuelito, Champ, Ouampenanagoag, just to name a few. But all of these bease share similar traits like a long neck, and is very long. Some cryptozoological ideas have the american lake monster being a plesiosaur or ancient whale. Give the climate these monsters are found, others believe that they are much more likely related to a Sturgeon.

The models look great, but I will unfortunately have to wait for retail. How much do you think the spirit beasts are going to go for when they are released?

I probably won't be playing the game, but I might be interested in some background materials. How much are you planning to include in your rule book or on your website? (I know I sound like a moron considering these are all based on historical cultures and myths that I can read about anywhere, but I much prefer a fantasy take on such things. If it weren't for Mercy Thompson, Harry Dresden and Kitty Norville, I probably wouldn't have any interest at all, sad to say.)

The Spirit Beasts very in size widely. Some are smaller then man-sized (think goblin sized), others are man-sized, others are larger then man-sized (think ogre or light warjack), then we have large models that are as big or bigger then a heavy warjack. So the prices for these monsters will also very widely. Since I do not have any on hand and i have not had any cast yet i can not give you any prices at this time. If i were to guess, the Ogre sized models should be about $15 to $20. The Larger models should be around $20 to $30 based on size.

The Core rule book will have some background info. Since i have had so much interest from RPG Gamers, i would love to put out a Monster Manual that covers all of the monsters i am releasing. I have already laid the ground work for this book, but i just need to find a writer that understands the RPG systems to help me create this refference book.

Sounds like a good decision for me, that'll help you avoid having a typical 'kiddie' faction that they'll jump to based on what looks familiar and help to further differentiate the game compared to other wargames by staying "pure" in style.
I'd still be awesome if you could add rumours in the fluff about scary metal ghosts slowly invading their world

I would also like to see the various planned differences between the games' factions.

Really neat idea, any chance of adding in the Seminoles to the East section? Just a thought. If I can find some extra funds I will contribute to this.
