Good point, it doesn't say it requires LOS. it just has a range.

So can it be used from inside a transport then?

cool. Which means you would measure the range from the vehicle hull.

Good way to avoid my Warpsmith getting smushed. Shame Chaos doesn't have access to a skimmer transport to really make them mobile.
