Just calculated how much I have spent on KS this year (and indie gogo)
I disappoint myself.
Dark Potential - 100.00
Sedition Wars - 800.00 (keep in mind many of the extras will be come a store copy for other people to play)
Relic Knight - 60.00 (just gave my friend a few bucks for 1 faction since he is excited for the game)
Dread Ball- 100.00 (Went in with a few friends)
Zombicide - 200.00
Kingdom Death 500.00 (only because co-op games are huge right now in my area. Don't care to much for the theme but all the girls seem to have nice fat asses)
boss - 20.00
Flash Point - 45.00
Great Fire of London 1666 - 60.00
I regret not backing black water gulch. =(

I spent $125 on Reaper's KickStarter.
We play D&D (Pathfinder) every Tuesday, and I like to paint fantasy figures for it as a break from WH40K. This is money well spent in my book.

I think over all I made out nicely, especially on the DFG kickstarter, the equivalent of all that stuff from GW/FW would probably run me well into the thousands of dollars. Given a single warhound with just pair of weapons arms is something insane ($500 roughly IIRC)

Nothing because I never find out about good kick starter deals until after they are over.
I am also not one to try something new without someone I know trying it out first. I have been burnt too many times buying a game (miniatures, RPG or boardgame) that none of my friends will play so it sits in my closet unused.

I havent spent a lot relatively...$299. Relic Knights, Dreamforge & both Blackwater Gulch. Of course thats probably because my wife has been out of work most of the year. Shes about to go back to work, so who knows what next year will look like.

I started keeping track of this recently. Still working my way through and will post a third kickstarter update on my crappy blog this weekend.
As for where the money comes from, I had more disposable income than usual this year (it'll be back down next year) but previous to the GW embargo I'd gone quiet on miniatures gaming stuff. I bought fewer console and PC games, I did prioritise kickstarters over getting "in-stock" items like Puppetswar, etc. Mainly though. I've bought less 1:6 scale figures, so the losers for my Kickstarting have been Soldier Story, Hot Toys et al. And Hot Toys have been asking for it with their rising prices...
I don't buy PP stuff anyway as I've not played WarmahHordes, but got both boxed starter sets which I'll play with next year. I don't buy GW at AU retail, and most of my GW stuff is either secondhand, or gutted ex-retail metals via ebay. A couple times a year I buy some GW boxed sets from the US, so no FLGS losses there.
