Plasma and another bolter.
Anti-infantry will be covered, rather than your odd mish-mash of weapons.
I'm really curious... Why another bolter? You can get an Autocannon for the same price.
Mainly weapon synergy.
An autocannon wouldn't be bad, but weapon synergy is always nice, and for an anti-infantry squad, I feel like the Autocannon may be inferior to a second HB in this situation.

Against T5(or higher) targets or vehicles of any sort, the autocannon is superior to the heavy bolter. If you're bringing plasma in your special weapon slots, the autocannon might well be a better choice.
But then again, you probably had T4 targets in mind.

I see your point. I thought more S7 would be a nice addition to the already impressive set of plasma guns; 5-8 S7 BS4 shots are not something to underestimate and can take some hull points off most vehicles at the loss of very little anti-infantry capability. Yeah, you put out like 1 wound less per game on average, but you get the ability to ID T3 and put the hurt on light vehicles.

Whatever happened to the old combo of using Psyker Battle Squads to reduce Ld and then cause easy pinning on threatening close-combat units using massed sniper rifles? That seemed to disappear somewhere in the last edition or two...

A couple factors, including the addition of Deny the Witch and the inability to use Chimera firing points as LoS for psyker powers.

And forcing a pin in 5th wasn't as good as forcing a morale then walking the unit off the table.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

Right, and pinning itself hasn't been good for a long time now. If you're fearless, have good leadership (and/or have a source of rerolls), or are embarked in a transport, you're not going to be taking pinning checks often.
I mean, in the past hundred games or so, I can probably count the number of times I've had a unit get pinned on one hand (and even then, half of those are conscripts). Sure, not every game sees my opponents bringing pinning weapons, but that's for a reason - even when they do, they tend not to pin... against guardsmen.
Against infantry units that are going to be tough to cause wounds on with pinning weapons, this becomes even less likely, weaken resolve or no.

I only run two vets squads in my guard army, one with 3x melta and demolitions/grenadiers in a chimera and the other with harker, 3x sniper rifle, camo cloaks and an autocannon. The snipers have a 2+ cover save in ruins and have a fun time shooting the crap outta light vehicles/footslogging marines and harassing MC's when i have Creed toss "bring it down!" on em, all while being a pain in the nuts to take out thanks to their ungodly cover save. I just got an ADL so I will probably start tossing em behind that with one of the lasgun guys manning the quadgun to multiply their firepower and make em even more versatile.

Hm. I'm gonna look at trying this one out. Looks like it might be fun.
I have a question, if you blob all the IG squads together, does medpack affect all of them after or only the original squad?

The question doesn't make sense. Infantry Squads can't take medpacks, so there's no possibility of blobbing a squad with a medpack with another squad.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

Would have been cool if we could though. In a 50-blob, a medic may even have been worth the points. Maybe in the next codex...

I do the same (ie 2 vet squads, 1 melta 1 harker). My Harker squad runs a missile mainly due to modeling. My Harker squad uses Tanith or Last chancer models, so I just use the Missile Last Chancer.
