The moral of this story is GW should push for a big budget movie. HH is their best best. I 100% guarantee that your average scifi/fantasy/action movie goer in the R-rated age group would take one look at a trailer and gak their pants. Then comes merch and increased tabletop sales.

They need to stop being so butthurt about it and just outsource. If you've seen the trailor for the Lord Inquisitor movie that a fan is making (endorsed by GW, though he's not allowed to make money off it), it looks absolutely beautiful and I have high hopes for it. Last time GW tried to make a movie in house, we got that movie...

What I've always wanted was a TV series like Band of Brothers, but set to Dan Abnett's Gaunt's Ghosts series. I think that would be epic for helping bring attention to Warhammer. Then more people would buy models, GW could drop prices, and we'd all be happy.

I hate the idea of 40k toys, why would I want that?. It already went from 14+ lead miniatures and advised for adult viewer slaves to darkness to almost PG13 not offensive. 40k should be sick, dark and moraly ambigous, toys could mean good space marines fighting all those bad monsters.

From the initial Age of Sigmar news thread, when its "feature" list was first confirmed:

It's like a train wreck. But one made from two circus trains colliding.

A collosal, terrible, flaming, hysterical train wreck with burning clowns running around spraying it with seltzer bottles while ring masters cry out how everything is fine and we should all come in while the dancing elephants lurch around leaving trails of blood behind them.

How could I look away?

GW doesnt like merch and advertisement. They like to keep pissing off their relatively small niche fanbase and not expand outwards into a world of potential millions more customers to piss off and ignore.

Bingo.

Also, IIRC there was a stryker figure for warmachine as a test for a future line, but it never took off and was the only one produced (making me sad as I wanted a kreoss and severius one) so they might have seen that and decided to drop the idea

Screw more warcasters. I'm still pissed the planned Juggernaught didn't get made!
