Subject: Mongoose Publishing/Judge Dredd News - New Judge Dredd Previews
Seeing as I'd like to see the vehicles in plastic, and I know Paul Sawyer does a better job with communication, I'll hope for the best.
My issue is that I don't want to hear Mongoose say- "Hey, we gave this game to Warlord, its their problem now!", when I pledged for a project to fund a rulebook for the game.... from Mongoose.
If they can get the quality of Bolt Action figures to the Dredd line, it will do them a solid, not to mention get them into the stores easier.
At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Don't overthink this. The KS update clearly defines what happened: they fired everyone at the US facility and closed it down because they sucked ass, which is true. I got two misshipments from their US peeps... which in the end meant I got extra models, which I'm sure cut into Mongoose's pockets. So the US facility was inefficient and costing Mongoose too much money.
Now, Warlord's production capabilities far exceed Mongoose's, so Mongoose is giving Warlord a cut of the profits to produce the miniatures instead of trying to produce them all at Mongoose HQ. Makes perfect sense to me. Dredd will now be getting nicer Warlord-style boxes and blisters and have much wider distribution.
"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke

That's how I see it, too.
Now here's hoping they do something as dramatic to fix their communication as they just did to fix their US pipeline issues.
