Was a blast, I think the highlight of the weekend was the bug zapper shaped tennis racket.

Count me in for the next one!

Luckily we all do.

The image of you being electrocuted many places on your body one shouldn't was quite amusing.
Too bad I don't have a picture..

I have to say, it was oddly impressive how Nick's skin was fairly shock-resistant. Maybe that can be a fundraiser of its own for the foundation: Shock Nanavati - a modern twist on the dunk tank / pie throw.

Event was a blast though, I'd love to see more events like this pop up in the future. Was great to see lots of familiar faces and the weather was perfect for the BBQ.

I had a really great time. I really liked the Torrent of Fire thing, too!

Thanks to Mike for putting this together!

I still haven't recovered from the long driving and lack of sleep!

Here's some short battle reports from the weekend:

Great weekend, awesome times, and over a thousand bucks raised for charity!

Thanks again to all who came out; it was a blast.

Results, which were at all times posting live, and a first look at torrent of fire's beta tournament interface:

Incredibly tough field, Werner Born ended up taking Best Overall, with Bob Roda nipping Best General in a field. See who played who and how it went at the above link.

Nice! What was the tiebreaker(s) for Best General? As it looks like Nick Nanavati and Kurt Clauss also had a total of 50 points through 3 rounds.

Paint score

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Best Overall was:
[(Win% x 0.9) + (BP/60)*0.1] + (appearance score)/(highest appearance score)

Best General was highest BP, tiebroken by paint score

Excellent, thanks .

Also, by chance I just stumbled on a post I made after your first outdoor tourney... your group was called SGI Gamers at the time, or so I thought? At least that's what I wrote . Also it was apparently my first tourney since 3rd edition when I was just getting back into gaming.

I just played in my first tournament yesterday . The SGI Gamers one in northern virginia. It was outdoor, and it was a lot of fun! It consisted of four 2000 point games.

Pretty cool . Hope everyone had as good a time at this one, it's a nice format for a relaxed event!
