The "Gamers Edition" description is hilarious.
"OK, so you're back. Safe in the knowledge that you've got yours ordered"...
Its rediculous, especially when it carries far fewer models than a comperably priced Battlefoam Bag, which are themselves luxury items and arguably overcosted (although I love mine).
But still, maybe I should buy it, because otherwise my "mate will, and he'll rub [my] face in it" Really GW, are you going to use the Prisoner's Dilema to sell these bad boys?

Typhus the Betrayer wrote:I think that what everyone is going to do is start to use eBay or use eBay even more. With these new price hikes, GW is showing once again that they don't care about anyone else but $$.
The problem with reliance on Ebay is US postal prices went up noticeably (It's cheaper for me to ship FW items from the UK than order from Ebay now), and it doesn't provide a place to play. Now, GW doesn't either; very little gaming space, hostile environments, lack of basic amenities. Thus, we consider the independents.
Now, what do those bundles mean for FLGS? Absolutely nothing. GW's been accused, rightfully in some cases, of taking very aggressive postures against their own 3rd party retailers, but in this case, they're doing them a favour. If GW had offered online-only discount bundles, the 3rd parties would be left out. If they had offered large in-store bundles, then, as they did with the holiday megaforces, they prioritize their own stores, leaving maybe 1 box for every other independent. As it is now, people can be excited about apoc, and continue to buy from their local store, whom often offer a discount.
One thing I'm curious about, however, is how the local blackshirts will attempt upsell the one-click bundles. Every GW store (well, only in my case) has a computer setup to order things they don't have in stock to the store, and since it's just a modified version of the main website on display, the customers will no doubt inquire about the 1-click bundles. How do you make that sound attractive to a prospective buyer?

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

In time once I finish negotiating the budget this month as per standard protocol.
Do you want a good or just decent Camera?

I am just curious. If this "gamers edition" or "collectors edition" comes all together, but with a regular edition book? I mean when I see something different I expect the book to be special as well, not just a regular edition book.
Unless I missed something the gamers and collectors edition comes with a regular edition book. So are they really that special then without the box or extra content?

375.25 for the windrider
truly strange
Edit oh wait i think i got it
the vypers whernt packaged as squadrons so it is actually
180 which is the 30 in difference
Well, Games Workshop has now removed the option of buying Vypers in Squadrons of 3. No more confusion then

They've also slapped £15 on all the old Appocalypse stuff. £85 for a Baneblade or Stormblade now!!!
It's ridiculous. £70 was bad enough. I just don't get the justification. And increasing the price by such a huge margin and justifying it by blaming it on the current climate or rising logistics costs and raw material prices is just insulting. It's not like every year I get a 21.4% pay increase.

Looks like battleforces and megeforces are gonna be the only time GW discounts models anymore...

Yeaah, I'll believe that when I see it.
I'm almost willing to bet my collection that they won't give any discount with the new megaforces.
