The Specialist Games as a whole beat out 40k, in my opinion. My favorite being Necromunda.

I can't deny that 40k definitely has the prettiest miniatures, but the ruleset has gotten a bit bloated and doesn't make for quick games. Nothing wrong with that if you have the time, but some of us older folks like a quick, fun game and Specialist Games have that covered, regardless of your preferred flavor of game.

You can never beat your first time. The second generation is shinier, stronger, faster and superior in every regard save one, and it's an unfair criticism to level, but it simply can't be as original. - Andy Chambers, on the evolution of Games Workshop games

I voted specialist, and I mean specifically Necromunda, it has some flaws in the rules here and there, but I have had more fun with that game than anything else, great background, especially at the start, great ideas for scenery making and some really nice game mechanics, its tactically fun and visually pleasing when playing.

Warmaster is still the best set of rules they made though.

Same here.

Necromunda rocked! Still does

I play mostly 40K, but Necromunda, and Gorkamorka, have a huge place in my heart

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

Special mention for 2nd Edition 40k

Specialist: Necromunda, though I am sure I would also be a huge fan of Mordheim and Gorkamorka if I ever get the chance to play them.

Battle Fleet Gothic is also fun but it can get tedious.

I played more games of Necromunda in the past year than I did games of 40k in the past 5 years combined.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

For me it was epic Space Marine, Man O' War & Blood Bowl as my faves, with Gorkamorka as second, and honourable mention to Battle Masters - a weird but fun game.

Fighting on with dignity,
In life and death we deal,
The power and the majesty,
Amidst the blood and steel.

I guess I would have to say 40K is my favourite as it is the one I play the most and have the most figures for, but WFB is definately up there as I really enjoy stomping around with my Ogre Kingdoms army.

That being said, Necromunda and Blood Bowl will always have a special place in my heart as they were some of the first GW games I ever played and I still enjoy them now.

I only play 40k but i loved LOTR when I could actually get a game of it.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

I play 40k and love my Thousand Sons but I prefer WHFB.

It used to be 40k, but since stopping buying new GW miniatures I have found wargames way better than all of the GW stuff put together.
