I may be a bit off topic, but WHY does everyone refer to the entirety of the United States military forces as the Army? They may be the biggest branch but they are the least specialized, and not not even a majority of US armed forces.

And the reason everyone refers to the US military at the "Army" is because very few people give a damn about the difference between the US's military divisions.
It matters very much to anyone in the United States military
Just like it matters to a space marine that the whole of the imperial forces aren't ultra smurfs. You have different groups. You'd never call a salamander an ultra marine, just like you should never call an actual marine a soldier. A marine has earned the title of United States marine and expects to be treated as such.
