Played a game of apoc against a buddy. I deep struck Draigo with a 10 man unit of paladins(with apothecary, banner, 4 psycannons, psybolt ammo) near one of his shadowswords. Shot a few hull points off of it. His turn the turret fires on draigo and his unit, direct hit, lost about 1k points in one shot. I was immediately sad.

My biggest blunder was Deep Striking. in a game of 4000, I deep struck two units into the best places for them on the board, that could have won me the game. Both deviate by at least 10 inches, and mishap. Double ones on the Mishap chart. 1000 points gone in a heartbeat. I didn't win...

Charging a Tau gunline with 700 points of Thunderwolf Cavalry.

Taking a Terminator heavy list against fire prism heavy eldar.

Starting BA in 5th and deepstruck a Landraider filled with my HQ, Termies and Priest, total 730 point, scattered, mishapped and got destroyed. Never done that again :(

Using a Vindicator and the Pieplate scattered so far aside that it whiped out one of my squads.

Make Marbo appear near a chaos sorcerer and Thousand sons, drop the demo charge, kill off a few.

My buddy seperate the Sorcerer from the Thousand Sons squad, charge Marbo into his cover, and drop him to a single wound before getting killed himself

...Then realised he skip his entire movement phase and shooting phase just to get his sorc into melee against Marbo.

Me: putting a Leman Russ at nigh point blank of Necron Warriors in a City fight scenario (they got no melta, they can't do squat!), without knowing about that gauss rule that gives auto-glancing hits on a 6...that Russ didn't do much short of diverting the fire of a single squad on turn 1 that game...

I was playing a Battle Missions Mission - in it some terrain is smoking and some is on fire.

During the game I confused the poker chips we were using for the smoking pieces of terrain for the objectives. At some point the two things just crossed in my head.

Turn 5 rolls around and my opponent says "So I don't see how you can win this game..." and I'm like "What are you talking about? I have all the objectiv.... oh crap!"

I spent the entire game capturing smoke markers. What a waste of 2 hours.

When I started playing again, I started with Necrons

and my friend started with chaos

and for the first few games I lost my unit of wraiths to his bale flamers because I thought they had 3+ saves, not 3++ haha,
then I read more closely..
