That's a work-around, but it'd be good to fix the website! Although I guess after next week it will be moot...

Indeed but I will still look into that as this is a first and I intend to use the provider again so this is helpful.

Hello All so just a reminder that tomorrow is the last day you will be able to purchase from us and the web store so take advantage while you can. Also just to respond to some emails and pm's I will not be giving the inventory away from what doesn't sell so please stop asking for those who are thinking it.

And, remember, you'll receive over 20 duplicate emails within 24 hours for free!

Let me be clear, I know you are shutting down and have zero motivation to make me happy. But I'm really not happy with being spammed like this and the only "workaround" doesn't make it so I can know when I actually receive valid communication. Not cool

if you're the only person suffering from this.....

it's possible that the emails are not actually coming from battle road, but are being generated some glitch within your ISP/email provider (I've had the odd occasion where mine has generated multiple duplicates although never persistently or to the extend you're reported)

or even your email software

so it might be worth asking them to see if there is some problem at their end

Edit, and wow that is really reaching... I've had 2 duplicates within seconds of each other, but it was outgoing. Not just one originator over 24 hours like this.

So somebody else has the same problem, then it does seem much more likely that the problem is at the Battleroad end

whereas if it had just been one person then my suggestions were perfectly valid ones and had a not insignificant chance of providing a solution, (but ho hum, not here)

at this point there is little you're going to be able to do at your end

easy to fix problems would be a corrupt email in your stores outbox which is causing the software start sending surrounding emails again as it can't tell it's done them already, find the email and delete it

or because you keep copies of the emails on the providers server then the email list gets too big for all the new emails to be sent so the flag isn't set to mean the email has already been sent. When you then do send again it sends the same emails again, and again

The way to fix this is to archive the emails on the email providers server so reducing the inbox size at the providers end.

Beyond that my abstract technical knowledge fails

So I know why yours is having that problem and I have every motivation to help you if you pm direct. Theirs no need to be rude on the forum as the problem is with the provider and not me but for some reason the only people who are having this problem are the people who's orders aren't populating in the system. Glitches happen with technology but instead of being snarky about it just pm me and ask for help. If you would like I will just refund you your money as your not happy.
