I have a pair of Venators, and they are an excellent replacement for scout sentinels.

I would love to see IG gain the ability to accept orders while embarked in a vehicle. Seriously, in what reality does it make sense that you can issue orders FROM a vehicle, but cannot accept them INSIDE a vehicle!? Even when the issuer and the issuees are in the SAME VEHICLE! GW logic...

I actually would like to see them get something thats like a big sentinel. But not OP like the wraithknight or Riptide.

Mostly I expect one of the current armies that are still in metal to become available in plastic.

I like to say I have two armies: Necrons, and Imperium.....

Someone in a similar thread suggested a giant sentinel plastered in Guardsmen strapped to the hull to fire off hundreds of flashlight shots in addition to its main guns, plus a few dozen more ablative wounds...

What would it do that a bunch of Russes and artillery couldn't though? You don't really need a giant robot.

Cost $80 each.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

What I would love to see besides some points decreased
1] Better Rough Riders: Give them T 3[4], Option to take Power Lances, able to replace Hunting lance with Las Pistols and/or an HQ/Doctrine to make them Troops.
2] Tank Destroyer: Something like a Stug or M18 Hellcat.
Stug: Like a Vindicator with just a Las-Cannon or a Vanquisher Cannon.
Hellcat: Like a Hellhound with just a Las-Cannon or a Vanquisher Cannon.
3] Ogryn: FNP or Rending should do it,
4] Doctrine System
5] Bring back the Last Chancres
6] Rambo…I mean Marbo getting a 5++ Save.
7] Something big like Mecha or a Maus

I think that covers it for me.

The IG dex has enough vehicles. It needs more infantry to make the old boots and bayonets viable again.

I agree. Maybe a melee unit with things to strengh the legs and allow faster movement along with infiltrate to charge and run around causing chaos.

What would you thnk of changing marbo from being a 0-1 special character and changing it to 'Special forces infiltrator? Each still occupying a full slot keeping all the rules but adding the 5+ inv/dodge save?

I would like to see the Salamander scout vehicle back. Just another place to add an auto cannon. Speaking of vehicles, a simple upgrade, for veteran squads:

Veteran Driver: If your veteran squad takes a chimera as a dedicated transport, the BS of the chimera is WS4. I would pay ten points for that.

I'd like a few of the following:

1) As many have said doctrines and regimental traits, anything that offers a chance for diversity and personalisation would be great.
2) Options for Ogryns, off the top my head a CC option along the lines of a corvus hammer and shield like a storm shield or manlet offering a rerollable save; another option being to improve armour, after all weight isn't a problem for them so why not protect rare assets with a few steel plates.
3) CC option for veterans, similar to the Ogryns to replace las-guns; coupled with flamers it could be an interesting unit to clear objectives.
4) Front opening ramp for chimera to make it an assault vehicle for previously mentioned units, not really in keeping with the shooty flavour but it offers new tactical options and modelling opportunities.
5) Improved snipers and/or vindicares, just for flavour and modelling opportunities, make the operate in spotter/sniper pairs for a bit more character.
6) Slightly cheaper hellhound variants
7) Not going to happen, but make las-weaponry BS4 or 5, they are lasers, you don't need to lead your shot or worry about wind or gravity.
8) Improve deathstrikes, yes they are ridiculous but or so characterful. Either through points cost or reliability increase. Alternatively they should be the only D-strength weapons in standard 40k with their one shot nature.

I second the idea of pask unlocking LRBT's as troops.

Also, does TACTICAL NUCLEAR WARHEAD mean anything to you?

If they are raiders, they have ships that do not have drop pod bays, they don't have facilities for building drop pods all the time, and they do not have time to recover used drop pods after raids.

Guard, however, have all the heavy equipment they want.

I think the number one thing the guard codex needs is a passage at the front stating that to represent the incredible variety of the guard, Forge World produce a number of varaint army lists and that those lists could be taken as standard IG armies and should be considered as coming from the IG codex in every way. Add in some doctrined system to represent different regiments better and improve the internal balance and you're good, no need to add any new units except maybe to bring over a couple more of the Forge World ones. Also fix Lumbering Behemoth to be "Leman Russes are heavy vehicles and may always fire their turret weapon without it affecting the firing of any other weapon mounted on the vehicle, even if the turret is ordnance". That would make them solid choices again because they are slow but always unleash fearsome firepower no matter the circumstance.

1. look at my avatar. (ODST's, epic drop troops. Why not??)

2. The guard is sooo much more varied than the CSM, theres drop troop regiments, airbourne, line infantry (which evidently is what you think every regiment is), Armoured, mechanised etc etc. Some regiments could utilise drop pods over valkyries and such for their stormtrooper battalions. I'm not saying have a full army drop podding in but elites choices or veteran squads.
